What is the ACTUAL tent location?

I've searched through about 20 deer huts and I have yet to found a tent.

 

And people everywhere say different things; deer huts, castles, hangars, barns

Maybe, just maybe it's all of them, but what is the set spawn point where there's the biggest chance to find it?

 

Like the Mosins main spawn is a piano house but have a lower chance of spawning in schools etc.. Where's the biggest chance to find the tent then?

barnes spawn tents, too

(2 friends of mine say they found one there)

 

 

as far as I know, they spawn with a chance of 2-5% ;)

I got one yesterday at the building called "misc_feedshack". I had to fight with myself to give you this info, know more people will know..'

Edit:

Find the building using the dayz map at dayzdb. Turn on only low yield clothes, then click around until you find misc_feedshack. AFAIK, most of them are away from towns and cities, or at least not near the coast

ya i have found them there, it takes a long time man think it like a 3% loot drop, or you could get lucky and find one right off, just keep looking

This is a serious question.

 

I have literally lost my faith in finding a tent. I spent 4 hours searching a castle and feedstands around the world

 

(How I travelled) 

 

I only found backpacks, food, water and shoes in those shacks.. 

Why make them so rare, if they even exist, if you're testing them. There's no "test" if no one can find them..

 

Or am I just really unlucky?

There in i have found one my self but they don't save on ree set so don't wast your time right now trying to find it, unless you just want to put in your bag for when they hot fix them.

They do, I have one on my regular character. Took searching 21 feed shacks, tried to find one on Hardcore, gave up after 42 shacks. Good thing too because a zombie later killed me while traveling (I lagged, started being hit by no visible zombie, eventually got the black screen of death) so I would have lost it.

just keep looking in the hunting huts with the ramps, took me like 1hr to find the one i got. As for them not saving i set it up well out of the way of others, and when server ree set it was gone, now it could have been found, but % of that for where it was, is not high. Now i could have got lucky in finding it so fast, but i have found 2 now both in the hunting huts.

Persistent items are disabled in stable for right now, says so right in the official 0.47 changelog. That feature will be re-added next week supposedly.

i don't have a source for this info, but i read some where cant remember where but they have like a 3% loot rat, so they will be supper rare, but could be wrong if i find where i read that i will link it.

i do know for a fact you can place it than log out, and if you log back in before the server ree set it will be there.

Tents do spawn, but they will not persist after server reset. First-hand experience here. Hopefully the hot-fix for persistent tents comes soooooon!
