Hello, I'm trying to play experimental but having no luck, when I opt into experimental nothing happens I also have a code to enter which I have never seen before?

Close the game before trying to opt-in.

You don't need to enter a code. Try verifying the game after opting in to Exp.

yeah I tried that also, I also logged out of steam and back in. the only thing that changes is the name in library but it never starts the download

Both experimental and stable are running the same client version currently, so there will be no download when switching between them.
