Is it worth picking up, and if so, how do you use it?

It is not yet functional in the stabby sense, but you can still use it for opening cans.

I equipped it for all of ten seconds, but it stuck up quite high making my position obvious, especially behind walls. It would be nice as a melee weapon, so you could fight zombies without having to switch from mosin to fire axe.

If I were you I would not worry about you finding or using a Bayonet(correct way spell it) just keep server hopping and find your compass before you die.....

Bayonets open cans of food and make your gun sway when you shoot. So it's worthless to carry atm.

I believe you can also use them to gut animals, but I only tried it with a kitchen knife and machete yet.

I recall that it makes the gun less accurate if you keep it on.
