Every time I log on Im a Bambie

Don't get me wrong, the best and only really good time you have on this game is to look for gear, but when you guy is geared out and you are looking for full servers to help new bambies or to kill bandits and you always start at zero gear, and then have this crazy amout of zombies after, especially the stupid hopper ones, is just plain stupid....if you want us to get pas zombies then give use some decent gear that isn't looted by the first 5 people on the servers, if you want us to struggle to get gear then don't put in the almost impossible to kill hopping zombies....if you want us to have fun, spread the gear out, give reg servers the fun guns, and let us find and kill zombies or players as we see fit...this crap of getting ruined by some stupid hopping zombie and then getting shot by a player is getting old and makes me not want to play the game.....losing everything Ive spent 3hrs on getting and then losing it all makes me not want to play the game....getting killed by some hack that has infinite ammo, makes me not want to play the game, being able to find clips and ammo for a gun that isn't in reg servers makes me not want to play the game.....having to bounce servers just to find a gun makes me not want to play the game.....running for 25 mins just to get killed by a glitched zombie makes me not want to play the game....you have sold 200,000+ copies and you still cant fix the little things....makes me wonder if this game is going to do anything or if I should forget about SA and just play MOD, at least MOD you can play

Are you sure these aren't HC servers you're joining? Are you sure you didn't die before you log etc? Were you handcuffed and then logs?, Little things like this may result in what you're complaining about man, I don't mean to be a dick or nothing but you were clearly advised the game was and still is in early access alpha prior to buying the game, yet you still went ahead and made that decision. In the Dev's eyes, you could either buy it now, support it, watch it grow etc, or buy the complete game once finished, about September this year we will be out of early access and into beta, you just either gotta keep playing man or wait a little time and play the mod to compensate the wait, I'm not being a dick or anything, but it was pretty simple. You buy it now, or you buy it then, nothing more, nothing less.

What I think he's trying to say, although given the wall of text without the use of paragraphs, is that certain elements like having to hop to get a gun and getting killed by glitched Z's makes him "not want to play the game" !

As for the Topic title, I can only assume the server(s) are not connecting to the central Hive or are unable to fetch the character data, probably a connection issue, so I've moved this to Troubleshooting as it is obvious that he is having trouble.

Several people have told me that this is the case, but going from Early Access into Beta is a pretty big step itself, more prioritizing needs to be put into DayZ development xD.

I was going to ignore this post and just assume you 'understood' and 'got the idea' for everyone else who posted here. I simply cannot do that, so I'll break this down for you nice and easy so we can understand each other.

If you feel the best time you have on the game is looking for gear and objects to help you survive the apocalypse, that's fine - not for me but that is your own opinion. Some people prefer to stay in the woods, some people prefer to explore the western part of the map, I prefer to shoot little shits looking for the items to survive the apocalypse. Sorry, but.. not sorry.

When you join a server to obtain items, please make note - the server should either be regular or hardcore and should be connected to the public hive. Make sure you log out in a safe area, far away from any combat zones, spawn zones or any other high traffic zones. When you log out, your body will remain in place for an additional 30(?) seconds to prevent people from combat logging or server hopping. If during this 30 seconds you are shot or killed by other means, your next respawn will be a fresh spawn.

 

It should also be noted, when you join your next server - please make sure it's the same difficulty as the server you have just left, you will have two different characters on Regular & Hardcore and items do not swap between each character. ALWAYS ensure you are joining a public hive.

Crazy amount of zombies? People on the forums are asking for more zombies. I personally feel, for a Zombie Survival game there is a distinct lack of zombies within this game. If you dislike Zed's then maybe you should try another game. I hear Bambi Online is F2P. I hope you caught the keyword in that sentence. 

 

During a Zombie apocalypse, people won't be so friendly as to provide you with their free items, you will need to work for those items and you will probably need to kill for those items. Again, if you want to just jump into a game and have the very best weapons, then maybe consider Call of Duty or Battlefield. I hear there's Zombies of the first one though.

Getting gear is not a struggle, I don't think it has been a struggle for anyone, ever. You spawn, you go into a house, you find a god damn Mosin. Have a look around you, if you see a zombie and you're physically unable to punch that zombie to the ground, then take a wide berth and avoid it altogether. Otherwise I can only suggest you log out, uninstall DayZ and move on.

I hate to say it, but we're back onto the subject of getting hurt by Zombies. Seriously, you can punch those things to death without them hitting you once. If you get an axe, you can kill them in one hit. What is wrong with you if you're physically unable to hear, see, point out, avoid or hit a Zombie? I can only suggest another game if you're frustrated after 3 hours of game time. I've put in over 350 hours and I have friends with over 600 hours. Dislike it? Don't complain, you are literally asking the exact opposite of what everyone else on this forum is asking for.

Hackers are a part of any game, the only thing you can do is activily avoid them until they get banned. It's my understanding there are far more hackers on the DayZ Mod than on DayZ Standalone. 

 

Every item in Hardcore is also on Regular, there's no difference between items. There's no such thing as an item that spawns on Regular but not on Hardcore, same goes to Hardcore for Regular. If you're bouncing servers just to find a gun, look harder. Move further. There's not going to be a gun at the bottom of your feet every time you spawn, that's life. You work and search for the things you want, not ask daddy to buy them for you.

There's been fixes every month and new fixes and content released faster than I can keep up with. Developer has really exceeded these last few weeks especially and I'm looking forward to getting in-game every day. If you're too blind to see that, then like I've said several times before.. this game is not for you. In regards to your pondering, I'd love to answer it for you. No one here will regret it.

@Azzerrr, if you think this game will be out in September full retail, I got a bridge to sell you. it wont be out full retail before 2Q 2015, maybe even 2016. It is in ROUGH shape. I have seen pre alpha alphas in more polished condition.

 

@emigrates, I have personally shot a zombie more than 20 times with a shotgun and it didn't die. Also whacked a zombie 25 times with an axe and it still killed me. Not all zombies are killable You preferring to shoot others just proves you are a gutless bandit.

I would assume before beta they actually need to get out of the PRE status. And go into full alpha. So, with these words I presume Beta is farther than we think.

Oh Hell no not full retail in September, just out of the early access scenario. When I bought the game, people always advised me this was the case, I simply agreed with them, apologies if I had that wrong.

I cant find a mosin long range scope, cutting down trees gives me sounds like Im bouncing bullets off of it, I finally find a AK 101...go and log out and come back later as a new spawn with no one in my area when I logged out, no zombies either....why when a new patch comes out that is supposed to add new gear and fix different bugs, just creates more bugs? All ready seen some popular YouTubers not playing the game anymore because of the issues. Pls stop adding and just fix the issues we have, a tent dosent help me out when I lose everything when I log. And why if Im experimental only do I keep getting no experimental servers?

As far as experimental servers, stable is on the same patch which is why they are showing up. For the rest...welcome to alpha. Might I suggest a break until beta or release?

Any ways, yes they add bugs with every patch, it sucks but it's the way it is and it's the way it's going to be.  They aren't concerned with "minor" bugs, even if those bugs are shitty for players, because they're building a game right now.  Do you iron a shirt before it's even tailored?  You're just going to create more wrinkles in the process, so what's the point?

The experimental version is currently the same as the stable version, so if you have selected experimental version you will be able to join 'stable' servers.

Seriously though, I feel they're just going to add all the major features here, during alpha. Beta and on they'll iron out as many bugs as possible.

 

Try to focus on player interactions, or make goals for single play sessions. Long term survival is reasonably difficult with some of the bugs, so make the best out of it if you still want to play.

Zombies running after you for miles/up hill..... Nope, Zeds for me still get lost and confused after a few turns around some trees/houses/ ect

 

I will say zombies and players Hit Box are fubar atm, had a hopper chase me then it looked like he ran off, i went back to close where he saw me and he poped right back in, needless to say i ended him... Allso seen quite a few Zeds floating away after death, to instanty respawn.... Hey its still ALPHA..

 

Weps, stop the police/piano bar run people, you may get lucky, but more often no, not a dam wep in sight...

 

(what the hell do i call the big metal barn type buildings that you run up some steps to loot out of a side door?)

 

Backpacks, weps and food ect ect spawn there now..

 

Garage... Scopes and fresh fruit and clothes/ Ax is rare (so far as i had seen) tools/ lights for your peacemaker ect ect...

 

This Patch has changed the loot order placement, and LOL Zeds get to cheat! hehe

 

I live North and West so i dont really need to deal with zeds, last time i went down from my tree stand to salvage some southern plains, as above, this is what i found out...

You want a scope and full army gear, go and play Arma or Cod or another among hundreds of pvp shooters, please don't try and turn this game into just another shooter.

i think it just varies server to server. some have good military loot some don't. I found my AK101 and like 5-6 mags for it in the military tents near balota. Usually the 5.56 ammo is scarce as hell.

 

anyway.. I have a pristine mosin with compensator and LRS for trade if you have an mp5k with ammo. pm me.

I would hazard a guess that you simply ain't looking in the right places, because LRS used to be a rare commodity that myself, and fellow squad members would be overjoyed if we found one. But now, they are ten a penny, we all have one, and a few backups just in case.

As for the player wipe, some servers are on different shards, some are official, some are not..... Everyone is finding this. It's frustrating, yes. But you knew what you wre signing up for when you bought the game.
