Game loads, but stuck in loading screen? (Can hear sounds like my movement)

Recommended Posts

I'm trying to join my favorite map with one of my favorite hosts, TLC, and I've had this problem with them on a couple maps. I'm joining the server just fine and then after it does the "requestion authentication" and all that, it loads and does some numbers at the bottom right with the bar blank, once it goes to 2 or 3, I end up not being able to leave the loading screen, but it acts as if I'm playing as I can hear my footsteps or in this case, swimming ( On namalsk, that's bad lol )

And ideas to fix this would be much appreciated. I'll attach a photo to show what I see when I can hear the game.

Did you buy arma II from anywhere other than steam? I'm not sure if this is a fix or not but when our community started an overpoch server, several other members of our community including myself had this issue. We all had purchased the game outside of steam. We all entered our CD keys into our steam library and redownloaded the steam version and that seemed to clear it up.

Once again I'm not sure if this will work for you but it seemed to help a few of us in our community

My server is overpoch as well, as I haven't had this problem when this map was an epoch. I have gotten my Dayz mod from Steam and will try this if I can figure out how to do it, thanks.

Make sure all your version numbers match the servers,

some servers are running older versions and the newer versions are not backwards compatible since the steamworks integration.

Im still getting this on certain servers but not always on those same servers, sometimes i just have to spam start it (start, sticks on loading screen i can hear myself moving, close game repeat) very annoying, if I get stuck enough i just move on to another game - theres gotta be a fix for this (im not trying to get on older versions or exspansions/mods I havent installed)

I have been having this same problem for quite some time now. I have uninstalled, reinstalled, verified all games, made sure everything matched the server, changed from DZC to Dayz launcher, tried from the arma multiplayer screen, I have done everything I know at this point to no avial. I have searched the internet, been to a lot of forums and I have not found anything thats a perminate fix. Now I dont know anything about scripts and all the stuff alot of people to to make this awesome game, but I would really like to see some kind of solid answer to this problem or hear that their is a patch that is going to help fix all this mess.

If anyone knows how to fix the problem at hand it really would be appreciated greatly. As for now I will just keep looking and searching for an answer for the problem.
