Death By Crowbar 1213 Posted July 18, 2014 I feel like if DayZ SA were real life it would look something like this... a lot of yelling, posturing, maybe a gunless guy doing something crazy, some guys with guns shooting but game mechanics causing them to keep missing, followed by a brief chase. Pretty standard DayZ SA. No?https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7XfdKyWg818
scrubbie_mcnoob 136 Posted July 18, 2014 Judging by the amount of shots fired and missed, they have the same ballistics engine.
amiasfree 262 Posted July 18, 2014 (edited) This is why cops don't need guns. Shoot a fleeing suspect that had a melee weapon (edit, didn't even have that when he started to run, which is when they really opened fire, cowards), pfft. Sounds a bit like the cops that shot dead a few hostages in CA during a high speed chase. Edited July 18, 2014 by Amias Free
Reg Park 160 Posted July 18, 2014 they gave him a saline bag and told him to drink and eat, we didn't get to see that part....

odin_lowe 3686 Posted July 18, 2014 Usually I laugh when comparing DayZ to real life, but in that case a man probably got killed in real life. When you die in a game you can start over. Not in this case. This man probably had a family and even though he might have done things wrong, didn't "deserve" to die. That's a bit too much mate. I seen many people die, but not everyone needs to.

I'm sorry if my point of view offends anyone, but, if you are stupid enough to agitate armed police officers, threaten them with any weapon and refuse to comply, you deserve to be removed from the gene pool. Too many times the people who place their lives on the line to protect others are taken for granted, belittled and abused. Why should some drugged up or drunken idiot be left to cause damage, disrupt honest peoples lives and cost the hard working taxpayers money in rehab and healthcare when they contribute nothing in return? I guess I'm just bitter towards cops, but I believe that individuals that we give power over human lives should be held to a higher standard than normal humans, and not a lesser one. This is inexcusable imo, a cowardly act done out of fear and anger and not for the betterment of society or out of self defense. Shots were fired at 17 seconds, assailant advanced on the officers at 25 seconds. He didn't run away until 33 seconds in after throwing another object at the male officer. Maybe adrenaline levels were high affecting aim, but none the less, my point (opinion) stands. Edited July 18, 2014 by Scrubbie_McNoob

Who are you to judge who should live and who should die. This isn't justice, it's pure mockery.
Khanarac 252 Posted July 18, 2014 (edited) "hard working" blablabla, have you taken your statement directly from a politician? How do you know that guy contributed nothing, maybe he just went crazy this one time. German police would have never shot this guy. They also fired another time when he was down already. However he has a good chance of surviving this if they helped him.... Edited July 18, 2014 by Khanarac
TiggyPooh 134 Posted July 18, 2014 Difficult to judge what is wrong or right in this video without knowing the whole story. It looks like the cops purposely missed their first shots and were warning shots. This man could have just killed someone and letting him get away was not an option, as he would be a danger to others. At the end you can see they check his pulse (unknown entity has no pulse and feels warm to the touch) and see what gear he has to loot. Totally legit DayZ players!

The reason they missed so much is because they aimed at his legs for a non lethal shot!To note extra: the man running away had a knife and an axe and was threatening civilians, he threw both to the cops, they only started shooting the second throw. Also if you where a cop, would rather to a bat vs knife+axe combat with the risk getting seriously injured or would you like to be able to take the guy out from a safe distance, thus removing the risk of fatally injuring yourself? Think before you speak and do research on the subject. Edited July 18, 2014 by Mark Darkers
