New player, having issues at main menu

Just tried to start playing this afternoon, I'm having an issue where the screen is SUPER blurry and low-res, and my mouse won't. Thanks for any help you guys could give.

 

 

Like I said, this was my first time attempting to play the game, so I haven't touched any of the in-game settings, nor can I read the menu enough to navigate to it. Thanks again.

Go into the game and turn bloom way down. That is why things look so goofy.

if you go to 

C:\Users\YOURUSER\Documents\DayZ\

 

open dayz.cfg in a text editor and change the following lines 

 

Resolution_W=1920;Resolution_H=1080;

thats for 1920x1080 so change for your native resolution that should help so you can see to change the rest of your settings

My friend just had the exact same problem, was probably the easiest fix I've ever helped with xD I could immediately tell he just needed to change his resolution. xD
