Heimdall (DayZ) 1 Posted July 13, 2014 Hey all, Im running Windows 7 x64 and for some reason everytime I hit Caps to activate chat ALL sound is muted in game only. I have gone through my sound settings and everything trying to figure out what could be going wrong, I even went to the extent of reinstalling the game. If you have any advice that could possibly help me with this issue I would greatly appreciate it. Also I'm using Logitech g35 headset all drivers are current.

boneboys 7988 Posted July 13, 2014 Go into your sound options (little speaker tab) go to your default mic / recording / Communications and select the Do Nothing option. Might help, might not.

TS,Skype? Its crazy you mentioned this because I just went through the binds and changed the speak option to "T" so far it looks like its working fine, but still when I hit caps it mutes all sounds and I have to restart the game to get sound again. My caps must just be cursed in DayZ considering its the only program that makes it act up. I tried everyone's suggestions so far and still no luck with getting caps not to mute. If you have any more advice please send it my way, I will continue troubleshooting and post back if I find a fix. Thanks all!
Heimdall (DayZ) 1 Posted July 14, 2014 **UPDATE** So I have taken it to the extent of re-installing Windows again and it worked for just one session. After that session I kept running into the same issue. No drivers were bad or anything of the sort. I am at a total loss. Its not that bad I'm just gonna have to learn to not use caps when playing dayz or I'll have to restart the game. If anyone else runs into this issue or finds a fix please let me know.
