Running Day Z

Recommended Posts

Hey guys I recently purchased Day Z and love it - have a lot of hours worked up and am having a lot of fun

Unfortunately im not a big games person and am currently playing on a Laptop i've owned for about 5 years - Acer Aspire 5738Z

Unfortunately im unhappy at the way it runs Day Z - It can only be run with very low object and terrain settings with clouds, shadows and other numerous things turned off. It is bearable but I also get times where it is slow and sluggish to move and look around - especially when I turn up the graphics a little, and I feel this can disadvantage me at times when it comes to killing or being killed - Its sometimes hard to see others and it takes some time to aim them

Im going to buy a PC next weekend as this laptop is fairly old and broken, can I get some suggestions on what would be needed to run Day Z on very high settings? I would only like to spend 700-800, but if necessary could go to $1000. Would not pay any more than that. Anyone who can suggest a good PC, or at least the specs required would be of a lot of help.

Thanks

Any help? Pretty much everything I'd have said is said by the post on there lol.

I'm Brittish so can't be sure of the pricing they quote but that system would run it.... If you aren't into building your own PC and don't know anyone to help you do it you may have to pay a little more but that's the kind of spec you'd be looking towards I'd say.

One British Pound equals $1.71, roughly. That would make it 461 pounds, rounded up.
