I've seen people post about random body harm - such as heart attacks and other obscure things, but I always thought it nonsense. Well tonight I was in the firehouse of the little town near the new town up north and all of the sudden I have a leg fracture. What's even more strange is when I check my inventory now randomly about 1/4 of my gear is ruined. Seriously - WTF?

 

I ended up having to crawl around and find a fire ax downstairs and chop some bushes for sticks to combine with rags for a splint. I assure you I was not shot or attacked, it's as if I randomly fractured my leg and 25% of my junk became ruined.

 

Is that... weird or normal? It's the first time it's happened to me.

 

I'm just gad that you can chop down bushes with an ax while lying down otherwise this would have been a much much MUCH more painful experience.

You were in the firestation, apparently the stairs are buggy. Your legs only fractured because they took damage, so your pants and the items of course also take damage. Happened to me before in the middle of nowhere.

yhep this happened to me like 3 time(stairs are buggy , and if you are laggy that helps too) , a tip , NEVER ,EVER keep important stuff in your pants , you will regret it

I'll confirm the stairs are bugged. Me and others I know have all had broken legs from there. You got to watch the barns that have those lofts in them too, ive broken legs off them also. And last but not least, you have to watch the very top of hospitals as I've somehow unintentionally slide straight off those to my death!!! hahahah (I laugh now but when it happened - severe alpha loathing took place)

Since this mostly happens in firestation and jail building this precaution is a bit drastic. I know it can happen in many places, but not nearly as frequent as it does in those two buildings, there is simply something seriously wrong with those.

Went up the ATC stairs, got on the 1st floor, broke my legs. 5 seconds later, black screen and "You are dead". I didn't see anything strange nor did I move when I was on the first floor (I was trying to pick something up). Yet, my buddies saw me clipping through floor and falling down.

Yup firestation stairs are deadly and ruined more then one pair of my trousers.

Image my frustration, having just looted pristine swaggy gorka pants, only to have them ruined and my legs broken seconds later O_o.

 

But it's DayZ, I well accept all this goofiness, because despite all bugs and glitches, I frikkin love this game and to me it's unique gaming experience that was not yet provided by any other game (for me again).
