Munson_fry (DayZ) 312 Posted July 7, 2014 Hello my friends of the finest quisine! last week we talked about barbequing those fine t-bone steaks, we carved out of that unlucky cow that crossed our way. today we are gonna talk about roast beef. so instead of using a fireplace, we first spend 5 hours to find that supid gas thingi, that u have to attach to the gasbotlle. then my friends we start looking for a nice big pot. oh dear we only found a badly damaged one and our sewing kit wont fix it ( surprise....NOT) but it dosent matter. first we set up the gas cooker and turn it on to full power ( there is only full power ha ha ) then we put the pot on it, so far everything looks nice and dandy, so we start to put our delicous meat into the pot. after a few minutes we can hear the pot making boiling sounds. uhhh we can hardly await that fine meal that took us so much time ... and then..... THE FUCKING MEAT TURNS FROM RAW TO BURNT IN " ONE " SECOND!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! FUCK THAT FUCKING GASSTOVE!!!! LET IT BURN IN HELL RAGEQUIT........ did anyone have a equal experiance ore could tell me what i did wrong ?
blissandpanic 92 Posted July 7, 2014 Haha good story!! :beans: I managed to hunt a boar and it gave me 5 steaks. I read that they can burn quickly but when they were ready, i managed to grab only 2!. They literally started to burn as i was dragging them of the fire pit. :P I have not tried the pot or pan with the gas yet. It is not easy to find the parts (you know the saying that if you look for something in dayz, you wont find it ;) )

EvilTigerAce 131 Posted July 7, 2014 Well, just wait a minute and then focus on the meat, it will take longer than one second, but it's a bit short, I agree.
LegitOldSchool 261 Posted July 7, 2014 I've had the same problem, and I tried more than 10 times. Every time the meat goes from raw to burnt. This was done on a portable stove with a pot.
jaytron 9 Posted July 7, 2014 haven't shot anything yet but......does the steaks have conditions(worn, pristine) that is caused by the quality of knife you use to harvest?? and can this determine the quality of meat cooked?? IDK
