350 pounds. thats like $600 US.

Only if you build it yourself will you be satisfied with the end results if you intend to play DayZ. If you pay someone to build a desktop $600 will get you barely past the menu screen unless you can find a laptop that can run it for that much?

Why are you making duplicate posts? and posting it in the wrong area? Anyhoot, yes you sorta can and if you want someone else to build it...well I hope they don't charge you for it. xD

Hi there

Get yourself on Gumtree and check round for 2nd hand machines.

Picked mine up there for 350, from someone who had built it for gaming but must have been more into consoles.

Specs were

AMD 6 core 3.4ghz

R7770 1gb

8gb corsair ram

250gb SSD

Maybe I got lucky but I saw a few comparable rigs at around the same price. You might be able to scrape together a build off amazon or something for around that price. Just try and save on things like the case, power supply ext.....can save here and there by not putting a disk drive, especially if most of your games will be digital copies (like dayz).

Don't forget aswell that you will need a monitor, and I don't think you could do both on that budget. But I would suggest just hooking up your PC to any HD TV. Much nicer than playing on a tiny monitor and only costs as much as a DVI>HDMI cable (or just HDMI if your card has a HDMI output)

Anyways hope that helps, would defo give gumtree a look though, some real bargins to be had there :)

I doubt you could buy new rig that will run it out of the box. But that is not to say you wont be able to fix something up.

See if anyone on ebay is selling their old set up?

When I built my first PC I spent about £70 and that would run DayZ. I inherited an old PC off my parents and was donated a new motherboard from a friend. I then spent the money on a budget GPU and a cable to connect my old laptop's hard drive.

It is doable but not with brand new components.

Sure.

1.5 year ago I bought mine for around 350 dollars and it runs DayZ just fine. Just don't expect flawless performance but it's engine's fault.

Sure you can, but not a new one, or at least most of the parts would have to be second hand.

Second hand doesn't mean they are bad, because there are lots of spoiled kids that have rich parents who constantly beg for the latest products.

Then there are people like me, I just bought a new PC and my old one that can run Dayz SA on low settings I'll be selling for approx. 150,- pounds.

Just to give you an idea what 150 Pounds will easily get you:

I know it doesn´t help, but a few weeks ago, a friend asked me to build a new PC for her. The budget was 400-450€, if possible, less than this. I got some good hardware, but for a price that low you have to cut somewhere. I don´t know if it helps, but here is a hardware list of pieces I bought.

Maybe someone could search that pieces of hardware at your location- I ordered in germany, because, well, I live there :D
