Where is the new Deathmatch area?

Recommended Posts

With the NEAF gone, or at least heavily reduced, where do you think the next Deathmatch Spots are about to pop up?

Personally I think the NWAF will get more fighting but I would gladly hear your Ideas or maybe observations so far.

I hope nowhere, this is not supposed to be a pure DM game.

But you're right - probably NWAF. From what I managed to see yesterday, Svetlo and Cernaya and Novo became hot zones too.

I hope it is nowhere......and everywhere!!

That was the beauty of the mod, you could meet players even in the most remote areas of the map.

I remember several firefights along remote deer stands far north near Devils castle.

Basically anywhere I went, no matter how remote, there was a chance that I will meet somebody.

That made gameplay so tense, I kinda miss this in Standalone at the moment.

I really feel that DayZ SA is really not ment to be played in a way, that you go to spot X, to get PvP.

It should happen naturally!

I actually kind of liked the notion that there was a "designated" PVP area. If you wanted friendly encounters and just some fun you could easily avoid it and thereby all the hackers as well.

If you wanted action or you felt like your character has lived long enough yo could just head to NEAF/Berenzino for some fun.

I kind of hope that the south post gets more players again. Right now its just empty except from the ocational Balota looter ;)

I remember deer stand farmers too ( in DayZ mod loot was respawning every 15 minutes and deer stands had chance to spawn guns such as ak-74....)

But then private servers added better and easier places to find guns, even donate for guns and deer stand became irrevalant and none visited or farmed  them anymore.

Damn now I gotta find a new place to chill, west side of the map was pretty quiet after the moved the death match from cherno/elektro. Also with chopper crashes spawning on the west side, more peeps will head there so they can get their m4. Its sad that all people do is get lewts and head for the nearest action, no testing or exploring just gotta get my pew pew fix or the game sucks and is boring. 225 square km map and everyone heads to one place....just seems like a waste of map and development time

I loved deerstands back in a day! I mean you almost never got anything ultra good from them, but I was happy to have some AKM or plain M4...occasionaly I found that pimped looking desert camo M4 with flashlight!

Best loot was at the barracks and heli crashes and I felt it was good decision.

You can survive even with mediocre weapons, everybody should not run around with Mk48 or DMR's anyway.

Totally agree. It's my hope that the devs are paying attention to the movement of the "hotspot" every time they make a change and use that knowledge when they get to game balance. In the meantime, it's nice that the hot spot does move.

The problem is the new generation of players that want instant gratification and don't feel like walking inland. They really only want a tiny map the size of a Battlefield map. Berezino or NEAF is perfect for them and they never leave. Balota and Elektro were the same before they changed the spawns.

Many of the rest of the players that want to stay inland eventually give up and go to these meat grinder places because you literally never see anyone elsewhere, so it's an endless loop of terribleness. I've been guilty of going to both the NEAF, Berezino and Elektro myself despite disliking Berezino and NEAF to the extreme.

Look at this reddit post as a textbook example of why the map isn't populated the way it was in the mod: http://www.reddit.com/r/dayz/comments/29u6wn/questions_about_046_spawn_points_military_loot/

Helicopter crashes will help now that they have some interesting loot (grenades), maybe down the line they will have good weapons as well. Not much point seeking them out now since no one wants an M4 any more.

In the good old days, there was more to the inland part of the map than the NWAF.. People would do the 'triangle' of NWAF, Stary Sobor and Vybor, much like the triangle of NEAF, Svetloyarsk and Berezino. There's no point in going to Stary any more since they removed the tents. Personally I literally never went to the NWAF in the mod, and I rarely go there in the standalone, because I prefer areas with hills, valleys and rocks, not flat areas, but thanks to the multitudes of interesting places the entire middle of the map saw lots of activity regardless.

I'm hopeful the next town or area they add is in the northwest rather than the northeast.

Police Stations would be my first shot after experiencing the last days ....Thoose MP5 mags are no easy finds.  And the peeps run over the Map farming Cars and the Stations like crazy.

I would bet Novo - Chernaya as the true rockstars can easliy farm their daily dose of Bambies in that area while sitting in the woods/rocks outside.

Its still the NEAF for some reason. Nothing there, but people will still kill eachother over it.

Can confirm on that one. Me and my friend nowadays spent most of the time lurking around NEAF and Berezino both are fairly populated. And while we mostly watch it there through the scope on mosin (banditry !? bitch pls) we rarely engage anyone since we don't like to pick out bambies or people that are full on civilian gear unless they are being super cheeky and go on killing said bambies. And it's been fun so far, today even got a revenge on a player that killed me yesterday (someone shot me in the leg and broke it and he was smashing me in the head with axe while shouting "i am friendly i am friendly" ), this cheeky bugger didn't even bother reorganize my gear after picking up my vest and backpack ^^

Tho sometimes we go on that full bandit mode and dare each other if one of us can just go there, storm it and take on a group of 4 or 5 people at once alone. Managed to successfully storm the red brick house in the NEAF 1 v 4 yesterday ... felt good man.

So yeah, a lot of people still go there but it's mostly circle jerking and panic firing so we just watch it all unleash and have shits and giggles while watching how an unarmed bambie knocks out player with SKS and this kind of stuff.

Also, Novo and Chernaya Polana is bretty high on a heat map nowadays. Ya know, filled with bambie hunters.

Also noticed that today.

My Hardcore Char still lurek around there so I gave it a shot and looted the tower. Did find a hunters backpack and some ammo but barely survived.

Still seems to be a hotspot for whatever reason.

Maybe because the two towns north are very decent? The town north of the railways does seem to be an excellent spot for looting comparable in quality to elektro.
