Should run the mod atleast, I think. You may have hard time in Standalone as I run on normal and it doesnt run as smooth as it could. I got i5 3450 3.1Ghz and 760 2GB OC + 8GB ram etc.

Your processor is a massive bottleneck on your system. You should probably get a less powerful gpu in order to spend more on your processor. Apart from that it looks solid. But the processor might prevent you from running the game in a playable state.

OP listen to this man!

I'd say you want i5 minimum. I have an i7 but not as good a gpu as you've listed and it's certainly playable.

fyi I have an i7-2670qm and gtx570m

looks like a laptop from the gtm part of the gfx card. only thing i would say is if u installed an ssd, it would be a bit better for you on that setup.

What Accolyte said.

I'm also using the GT 740M and I also have 8GB RAM, but I'm using an i7-4700MQ processor. With that I can play DayZ on fairly high settings with occasional lag.

apart from the initial start up of the game does a ssd actually make a big difference?

Thank you everyone, I have changed the processor to a core i5 4200m 2.50 ghz dual core.

And to the guy who posted the link, I couldn't find my specs on that list for my graphics card so I sort of gave up after a while and tried to do my research myself, and that's why I'm here, cus I failed haha.

yeah man, ssd gaming drives really do help a lot, especially in games like this, i remember reading up about it when i was playing dayz mod a lot, and it makes for a lot better IO of the texture rendering and stuff, as the arma engines specifically do a lot of reads from the texture files when you play, a lot more than most games. for standalone it may be a little less relevant but they run on very similair engine base and tbh having an ssd really does make any computer a lot faster overall as well as increase performance in most games.
