ganjamann 2 Posted June 29, 2014 Hey all, ive had a problem running dayz sa ever since i bought it.. As i couldnt find a solution to my problem i reverted back to playing the mod again. the last week or two ive seen there has been a number of things added since i last played and really want to be able to run it. anyway heres my problem... when i first purchased the game i had a 1gb graphics card installed and would get a steady 20-25 frames in normal settings. as pay day was very close i decided that i would upgrade my graphics card, and spent £250 on a 3gb card. (radeon xfx 7900 series). ever since i installed the new card the game is even worse. no matter what setting i play the game in i get about 15-20 FPS at best! also as soon as i hit more than one key, such as if i wanted to run diagonal left, (W+D) it literally cuts my frames in half. if anyone has suggestions to make i'd be happy to hear them, ive tried a numerous of things like re-installing dayz, lowing settings in config files... Thanks in advance! :)
Atom Quark 437 Posted June 29, 2014 Same problem in other games?AMD has their own driver remover, and reinstall drivers?TEMPS?Reset the config tweak settings? The key combo bringing down the FPS is strange.Should not have a problem with that card unless the CPU is a serious bottleneck. ganjamann 2 Posted July 3, 2014 Thanks for your reply Atom. the only other game i get any sort of performance issue with is arma 3, once loaded and in a game its fine for a bout 10 15 minutes and then gradually my frames get worse. after about another half hour it very annoying and i would say unplayable. i believe i have the correct drivers installed ill post my system below perhaps you could see the problem then? baring in mind ive never changed my cpu, its the one it came with and is about 18 months old. terminal_boy 860 Posted July 3, 2014 You have 2 problems:1. The SA hates AMD CPUs and yours isn't the most powerful AMD to start with.2. You paid £250 for an XFX 7900 GPU. If it isn't a 7990, you were robbed?
Amachie 3 Posted July 3, 2014 use the search in the forum and you can find plenty of tweaking videos which give fps boost. with crappy pc-s there is no chance to get good picture as arma 2 engine is badly optimized.
