Svetlogorsk Navy Base & More Randomized Objects

I was thinking: what about naval ships being docked in places like Berezino/Svetlogorsk docks, and the Elektro docks

 

Cool Ideas for the Location:

 

  • Boats would spawn in a different area of the dock on server restart.
  • Boats could have traps, which were used in the early days of the apocalypse (random holes, mines, explosives on the floor). 
  • Let the boat tell the story of what happened to the crew (blood stains & bloody words on the wall).

 

Also, I was thinking:

 

Why not make environmental objects like cars and the (permanent) helicopter crash sites (picture below) spawn in different locations?

With different locations you mean random locations chosen at each server restart from a definite amount of possible places? I'd like this.

And for the realism, if they add a naval base every ship should be damaged in some severe way (broken mast, stranded, exploded motor, I think you know what I mean), so it doesn't look like you could use it. (There should also spawn repairable ships one day)

Exactly. I know the engine has the power, but it's the effort that has to be put in to make this work.

Yeah I totally agree. This would add a whole new level of immersive gameplay.

 

Just think of seeing 50,000 metric tons of post-apocalyptic medal when you spawn in to the game for the first time.

Not sure if Chenarus would have a naval base (well...I'm SURE they would actually, but it'd more than likely be a Russian Naval base rather than a Chenarus Navy base)  And I would think standard orders would be if something like a zombie outbreak or rioting (which is what the outbreak would have been mistaken as more than likely) they ships would leave port soon as they can, taking recently infected crew with them to help spread the chaos unknowingly.  That's not even counting something like what happened in World War Z (book) where a Chinese Sub smuggled all their family aboard and said GTFO time.  Still pretty good idea depending on how quickly the virus took over, might still be something docked or even a military ship anchored (or even drifting) out at sea FULL of zombies and high end loot, just waiting for group of someones with a Heli or a boat.

 

Heli crashes are actually on stable now if I remember right.  Would be nice if they added civilian 'heli' crashes such as cars and trucks loaded with goods.

Long time ago... I was talking about corpses spawning with loot in random locations...

 

This should create a good immersion as you could find some dead bodies in the wild. You couldn't know where to find them precisely, and you should really need to look for them if you want to find them cause they are small and don't generate smoke that can be spot from miles away...
