DayZ always crashes when I leave a server

I've heard of people crashing in game but I never crash in game. The only time it happens is I leave a server then the top half of the screen turns into the default screen mouse, and bottom is the DayZ mouse. Then it crashes after 30 seconds or so.

 

Btw I killed some dude with an M4 and traded it for my AKM with a 75 mag. Worth it?

I actually don't like the PSO1 scope that much, but the AKM iron sights + 75 mag is a good deal. I took the M4 anyway and I ran to NWAF to find a helicrash smack dab in the middle. It had everything for the M4. Loaded it up with an ACOG but damaged :( found 3 mags and one 60 mag for it. Then put a bipod. hehehehe.

I have yet to use the AKM or see anyone have it. So, the PSO1 scope id have to look up quickly. But, I dont like the M4. seems to overused to be in a zombie apocalypse. But, Pre-Alpha. Which means I presume not even close to all guns are even designed or coded in the game yet.

yes both stable and exp crash on me when i switch servers or when i try to exit the game, don't think 44 version did that.

Yea, both Stable and Experimental crash alot, but they are working on fixing it already. Just be patient. :)

Gah. PSO is garbage. Better off just using the good ole' iron sights. I don't mind the drum mag, but I find it looks ugly as hell. (Imho)

I wouldn't mind some sort of cobra sight for the AKM, that would be really nice but I can be patient. But god damn, the PSO is ugly and awful.

AKM is really good though if you're not the spray and pray kind of player.

 

On topic: Happens to me too, anytime I switch servers on EXP because "Session lost" repeatedly (-_-) then I join a new one, crash.

I've taken to just logging off, alt F4, restart DayZ. Kind of a hassle though.

Most of the time when I exit the game it crashes back to steam homepage (I start from there opposed to desktop icon)

 

I have no mouse, ctrl/alt/del open task manager, Dayz not responding, kill it, mouse comes back then restart game. I also have the same issue when the game crashes during play. Sounds are still going and I have to go through the same sequence to get back into game.

Mine crashes too on exit. Im using an old i5 and 6870 Crossfire setup if thats any help?

 

Also acquired my first AKM last night. Got ladder sponged earlier in the day and rage quit. Came back later that night on a low pop server to reequip, was 2 people including myself. Was doing NEAF in pitch black, turned around while upstairs to see some guy, i asumme logging/hopping in behind me facing the other direction so planted my axe between his shoulders. Guy probably never saw it past the loading screen. So new-spawn to AKM with Everything, bipod, PSO flashlight Drum mag in about 12minutes including my run from the coast. Got to be a record right?

Max CPU temp is 65 under full load, GPU 60 and board about 35. A long way off from overheating.

Most CPU's shutdowns at around 70, depends on the model but usually it is around 70.

 

So yeah it's pverheating issue.

mine crashes since the .45 patch when I close the game, not when i leave the server and my system is water cooled, before some start talking a load of oul guff about temps..

Well from my gaming expirence it is that a lot of games starts to have "crash" issues during the summer, becouse computers overheats. It is *always* summer when games starts "crashing".

It's just an issue when you close the game(Crashes)join a new sever after being kicked from one (Crashes)(happens a lot on EXP)

Leave a server, it crashes when you join a new one.

 

No idea why, but it is most definitely not overheating. I have AC, and my desk is right next to the window, i'm actually in a sweater it's so cold in here.

Actually, no. It's a bug. Happens to me regardless of temperatures.

Not only does it crash on me when I log out OR switch servers, but I had just made the trek to the NWAF and it crashed as I was climbing the control tower. I log back in and I'm a fresh spawn. Glorious. I don't plan to make that trek again any time soon.

While it may be the case that summer can exacerbate ventilation issues in certain cases I too have been experiencing crashing upon exiting DayZ.

 

It doesn't matter when in-game (when the GPU/CPU is working hardest) but 9/10 times leaving from the server menu to the main screen will result in a crash.

 

Clearly, given that I can play for many hours without fearing a crash, it's not a case of overheating.
