mattiaspetersen@yahoo.dk 1 Posted June 28, 2012 So ? He did a live interview with TB while playing on a populated server. Go watch that if its too boring for you.
sunnz 24 Posted June 28, 2012 But he is not experiencing the full game, which is getting shot at and he is at the NE airfield.Hehe.
Redshift 58 Posted June 28, 2012 If he is testing the newest patch to try and find issues then by definition it has to be done on a closed server since none of the other servers will be running an unreleased patch.
Techercizer 82 Posted June 28, 2012 Rocket can do whatever the hell he wants. Heck, if he wants to edit his Hive stats to give himself the best gear in the game, more power to him.Where he tests the game, how he tests it, and what he designs it to be is up to him. It's his mod.

Molten 0 Posted June 28, 2012 Only in this community would someone complain that the lead Dev was playing the game.
Ghandi 0 Posted June 28, 2012 .For ShameI assume you just poking fun :p I doubt he plays the game at this point other than to test changes out personally or for press related reasons. He probably doesn't have the free time these days to play for the sake of playing.

They're using the live stream to advertise and market the game while artificially protecting themselves from its core element (ie. PVP). Clear case of false advertising. If you want to avoid griefers and stream snipers then just record a session ffs.
sneed 1 Posted June 28, 2012 .For ShameThe dude barely has time to play, for chrissakes. If you are doing an interview for a big time PC gaming magazine you'll want the play experience to be as smooth as possible, and not have a 45 minute (or however long) segment terminated prematurely by some pasty-faced stream sniper. If you want to avoid griefers and stream snipers then just record a session ffs. There were other people on the server. In fact they got attacked in one of the small towns and one of their teammates got killed before they killed the aggressors. Maybe you should have actually watched the stream because they actually ran into a few other players as well but that one encounter was the only one that turned ugly. There was a lot of information they were talking about. It was a great session IMO. Yes, the stream host was ignoring all the kids posting bullshit in the stream chat. Yes it was protected. Yes Rocket had a cool ass skin on. Yes they teleported them all to the same spot so they can begin together. Quit QQing peeps. Of course he wants to prevent the interview from being interrupted by people playing this like CoD/BF#.

Kageru 18 Posted June 28, 2012 If they got attacked it was probably scripted and organized with other staff and developers. The developer looking after the other streamer (The "Battleships in the field!" thread) told them he had to go participate in he PC-Gamer stream.Though it might as much be about keeping hackers from disrupting the stream as much as controlling PvP.
