    Items back from bug

You destroyed it by putting it in your pack without 10 free slots available. We all found out the hard way just as you did. The ansers to your other two questions are No, and NO. Sorry but it's the same for all.
  2. The most awesome experience I ever had in Dayz was shitting my pants at every sound I heard whilst playing at night. That though was when I first started playing. Then someone said, "I know, let's make the night so friggin dark that you either need NVG's, or constant flares to do the simplest thing"... I no longer found the experience enjoyable. Which is a bloody shame, as this mod has the potential to scare you shitless. And cause members of the family to run into the room to see why you screamed like a little girl ! The nightime is this mods biggest potential for atmosphere and frights, and that was thrown away for what I can see was no gaming value or benefit at all.
  3. Only in this community would someone complain that the lead Dev was playing the game.
  4. You need two copies of Arma II CO Edit: can you clarify, are you talking about Dayz or Arma II ? Because my answer was for Dayz

    Tried a new life

You forgot to tell him to spam barbedwire first.
  6. Iv'e only ever found 2 but both were in large fields next to a decent road. Obviously 2 finds is not an indication that they are always within view of a road. But maybe some spawn parameters such as X amount of meters away from a Town, and X amount of meters away from a road. If you had to trek on foot to find these spawns it would solve to some extent the road trip spawn searches. What's wrong with having them crash in forests now and then.
  7. At least you can get on this server. Although I think it's the balance of both types of play that makes Dayz work and restricting either type of play is lame and ultimately damaging the Mod. The locked ones though are the ones that really piss me off. Not because I can't get on, but because I wonder what the hell they are doing. I suspect farming. I have no proof obviously but there seems to be dozens of servers perma locked. Is there ever a legitimate reason for a server that is locked 24/7 ?

    Has electro gone cold?

Just because you didn't see anyone or were being shot at, doesn't someone wasn't there watching you ;)

    So many damn veteran servers!?!?

To op. Server saying regular or veteran etc quite often means nothing. It's the settings they use that counts. A server can say regular and have all the settings like 3rd person, crosshairs etc switched off. So my advice is only use the regular / veteran server name as a guide. Also most regular servers don't have nametags enabled. (thank fek) It's not always what it says on the tin... Additional note: Not all, but a lot of players who play on servers with no corsshairs put a small dot on the monitor screen itself in the position of where the crosshair goes when looking down the iron sights. In effect giving them an advantage.

    A week Playing as a Non-combatant Medic.

Prob' already been said but if you answer a call for help, say a blood transfusion. Make sure they know you are on the way with only that 1 bag of blood and nothing else at all on you. At least then your not a walking loot bag. Find a decent stash for your gear when going on a call. Maybe take binoculars if you take anything so you recon before you go in. No matter what precautions you take your gonna die, A LOT ! Best of luck to you and look forward to hear how things turned out.
  13. Just another point. Don't confuse survivors with carebears. Most of us will cut your nuts off with a hatchet in a heartbeat if your a direct threat. But we take tactical decisions seriously. And the first rule of surviving is avoid conflict if possible. You could get a nasty graze or a cut. Most of time we are watching you. As we recon areas before moving in. If we choose to do so we could shoot first and end your day but it's not the game we play. This game needs both players. As the hunter needs a rabbit. Who is the hunter and who is the rabbit is a matter of perspective.
