MLG420blazeit 62 Posted June 19, 2014 Wanna know what's pathetic? This argument. I have been looting for many days now trying to find the AKM (note to qww, this doesn't mean I'm server hopping). A few trips around the map and I've found plenty of attachments and plenty of ammo and plenty of mags but not one single rifle. I like that I can't just say "oh, I'll run here and find this gun". Yeah I don't know why some items are so rare when we're techinically in Alpha and wanna test everything... Surely AKM should be as common as the M4 was to make sure it works properly? I'm pretty sure the function of the weapon is one thing the designer implementing it can test to a certain extent. I have found several akm's and the mags and even killed a hacker with an m4 with everything on it including a pristine acog but still passed it up for my trusty Mosin. Briljin 102 Posted June 20, 2014 99,9% encounters happens on distance <200 meters. Pretty much sums up my experience thus far. I can only remember twice that I was engaged by a sniper and only once was it a fatal encounter. Don't get me wrong, I am always on the look out for them and I take great care to make sure to avoid known sniper hot spots and areas that would make a good sniper perch but up close fights have been almost all of my Dayz encounters and I have died far more often from a near point blank shot than anything over 500 meters. 1 Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

All the high pop servers at NWAF that I've been to aren't looted, yet all the servers with barely anyone is looted like a bunch of pigs ransacked the place. I guess people are scared. Since the changes to NEAF I've moved to greener pastures as well, now I'm cycling between the vybor mil base and NWAF, depending on how many people I'm with. NWAF can't really be locked down with 2 people but the vybor base is often visited by people willing to bring me glorious amounts of AKM attachments and ammo. The perfect time to oversee the vybor base is indeed when server restarts happen and on low-pop servers (no more than 10 people).
