Smartsham 21 Posted June 19, 2014 Busted out my mosin to plug a few cows today, i noticed the sights shaking/jerking more than before. It crossed my mind that it might have been added for realism but they way it looks I think it might be a glich or bug. I read through the changelog and didn't see any notes about this. If you have the same issue please let me know here so I can put it in the bug forum.
Caboose187 (DayZ) 3036 Posted June 19, 2014 This is definitely a glitch/bug. It's very sporadic the way it bounces around
lordkalvaire 15 Posted June 19, 2014 yeah sometimes it does, sometimes its very still. don't know what's causing this. (of course im still no heavy breathing)
Dagwood 680 Posted June 19, 2014 Can confirm this. Seems to be a bug when looking in certain directions or up certain inclines. Just spit balling
Dawgstyl 51 Posted June 19, 2014 Already been reported to the dev team.
domxnik 2 Posted June 19, 2014 We're talking about the herizonal sway right? Because I've had my gun almost go off screen from this. Hopefully it gets fixed soon.
frosti 2165 Posted June 19, 2014 (edited) I had this too but as someone in other thread suggested you character can have damaged arms without notification for you. I used the split and my gun stopped shaking. Edited June 19, 2014 by Frosti
Bororm 1156 Posted June 19, 2014 Have this with fine arms (new spawn wasn't damaged at all). Heavy breathing affects it more I think. Just the way it's implemented is literally quite janky though.
HIHBGaming 14 Posted June 19, 2014 I know in the Mod when you were in pain you shook uncontrollably until you took pain killers. Could this be the case? I haven't noticed a whole heck of a lot of sway, with the SKS anyway.
Khanarac 252 Posted June 19, 2014 (edited) http://forums.dayzgame.com/index.php?/topic/200080-weird-weapon-shaking-in-045/ For bringing up the issue yesterday, the fanbois told me I had broken arms, when clearly i didnt. Frosti keeps claiming it stopped, but everyone who pays close attention knows it doesn't. As mentioned its very sporadic....keep playing Frosti, you'll notice. Bororm 1156 Posted June 19, 2014 I know in the Mod when you were in pain you shook uncontrollably until you took pain killers. Could this be the case? I haven't noticed a whole heck of a lot of sway, with the SKS anyway. It's not so much an increase in sway as much as a more jerky motion of the sway that already existed. Before it was smooth and your aim swayed. Now it jerks around instead. I was using a long range scope on the mosin.
Aelel 1 Posted June 19, 2014 I'm having issues with shaky scopes also, impossible to shoot targets past 500 meters with random scope jumps, never happened before this patch. Video of the same thing i'm getting. Has to be a bug right?
Girth Brooks 570 Posted June 19, 2014 Stop sprinting everywhere. When you are at rest, shakes stop.
Caboose187 (DayZ) 3036 Posted June 19, 2014 Stop sprinting everywhere. When you are at rest, shakes stop.Wrong. Fully rested, no broken limbs. It's not even a sway, it's sporadic bouncing. Very unatural.
kimosabbi 48 Posted June 19, 2014 Stop sprinting everywhere. When you are at rest, shakes stop. Incorrect. I spent 20 minutes watching an area before moving in - Scope was shaking from beginning to end. (mosin/PU scope)
kakysas666 191 Posted June 19, 2014 I think it is due to low memory. I have 64 GB RAM and my sight isn't shaking, but I noticed on my laptop which has only 8GB of ram sight is shaking. So it is because of low RAM. Buy more RAM.
Girth Brooks 570 Posted June 19, 2014 My gun shakes until my breathing slows. Don't know what you guys are doing, but it stops for me.
Girth Brooks 570 Posted June 19, 2014 My gun shakes until my breathing slows. Don't know what you guys are doing, but it stops for me. Tried both scopes, after a run, both worked correctly after breathing slowed.

slim_pikins 30 Posted June 19, 2014 This was in exp .45, actually. People were praising it. Well I think its cool and the fact it changes the amount of sway when your out of breath, prone and crouched shows it no bug
flow284 2 Posted June 23, 2014 its new and its weapon weave and it serves no purpose, but to annoy the crap out of you, unrealistic and pointless p.s :to the programmer who spent months wasting valuable working on this :::: FAIL!!! USELESS !!!

LeChat 131 Posted June 23, 2014 It seems to sway less when you hold your breath, for a short period of time anyway. Doesn't seem to be any difference between standing, crouching or prone position though. Some sway is just natural, which is why people use bipods or rests and aiming/shooting aids, unfortunately the bipod doesn't reduce sway it seems. On the other hand, the weapon sways (at least the AKM) regardless if you're using a sight or not - it is just more noticable with a scope (for obvious reasons).
