Bug or am I doing something wrong?

Hey Ladies and Gents!

 

So... being a medic you would think I would know everything about this but sadly not. So for a long time now I have not been able to get to the Healthy state, I drink and eat till I get to both light green and I never seem to get a healthy state. I always have blurry vision which is a pain to play with and right now I just go into my video settings right now to fix it because that's the only way I can right now. But am I doing something wrong, have I missed something in a change log which I need to do something else to get to a healthy state? Any and all help would be appreciated!

"hazy vision" should slowly resolve itself once you have been energized and hydrated (both on light green). It can take a while. I took a battering in a firefight but managed to escape and spent maybe 20 minutes building my health back and slowly but surely my vision resolved itself to fully clear - not bad considering I was as good as almost blind for about 5 minutes!

If your vision is hazy go to your video options and it'll clear up.

 

Also try being bright green hydrated/energized.

Bright green hydrated + dark green energized= Healthy and/or Healing

Having both in green means you start regenerating blood. Once you reach your max blood level you start to heal (and the "Healing" bar will appear), but only after you have full blood. The level of blood can be deducted from the saturation of colours on your screen.

It's a common mistake by fresh spawns not to gorge on all the food/drink available as having full health (and a bright green "Healthy" indicator) is obviously going to help if you run into trouble.

Guys I know all this stuff, I eat and drink until i'm light green energized and hydrated, and I stay like that for days and I still never get the Healing state or Healthy State... this is the issue I am having!

That doesn't sound right at all. I've had a bright green energized [sic] and hydrated indicators without a 3rd healing or healthy indicator, but not for long. If the first two stay bright green for more than, say, 5 minutes then healthy/healing always show for me.

 

Edit: While it sounds like a bug, have you tried eating to the extent where it says you are stuffed?

Then it is because you lose blood in the meantime. As I stated blood and health are two seperate values. When you get green blood value rises, and blood need to be maxed before health starts regenerating.

I think:

 

1. You character may be bugged and it fix itself when you respawn.

 

2. You may have some infected wound and you need to clear it with alcohol tincture (don't drink!).

 

PS.

 

3. Maybe you need to stay energized and hydrated for about 2-3 in game hours to regain healthy healing status, it happened to me once when I was livning and running very long constantly starving and when i finnaly eat and drank to full I had to wait hours before I got my healthy/healing .

 Yep possibly a dodgy char. I've had a couple where they just never seem to get healthy despite being charged up for over an hour, even stuffed hasn't helped. Drink until you throw up, and then stuff yourself with food ..see if you can kickstart it.

Did you try getting hit by a zombie? just to see if the healing or healthy indicator comes up? sometimes there needs to be a change in your health/blood before the display will update I heard.... but yeah, your character sounds bugged. Hopefully you didn't have 0- blood, because you may need to die and respawn.

Iv'e tried dying, which solves it for sometime till I get hit by some zombies.
I've tired getting multiple blood bags/saline into me.

I've tried eating and drinking till im light green/Stuffed/really stuffed and thrown up.

Iv'e even tried getting shot. 

 

Non of these have worked.
