11tw 106 Posted June 12, 2014 It would be cool to see flooding in towns and cities later in development. Places which are on low ground, close to lakes or rivers etc. could have water damage on ground floors, and also a small chance of being flooded. This would make for more interesting gameplay, as moving through shallow water tends to make a lot of noise.

OrLoK 16185 Posted June 12, 2014 Never seen that before, thats pretty damn cool.Hello there Yes, yes it is. This is why I try to throw random Arma stuff at you guys as many only know of DAYZ and not alot beyond that. (which is no fault of yer own obviously) Its also why I show a lot VBS stuff, although its an utterly different fork to Arma but it shows what *can* be done with the "engine" we have. It really is rather good simwise. Rgds LoK

Hmmm I don't know, maybe where it comes from in real life.... You know, rain!

11tw 106 Posted June 13, 2014 where the fuck would the flooding come from?any major water source... have you ever had flooding? I live in the south-west of England, and we get flooding. Russia has ice melts on top of heavy rain, and so flooding would probably be worse there.

OrLoK 16185 Posted June 13, 2014 (edited) Hello there Floods are common and massive. Even here in old blighty. Look up recent news (last year) Think of New Orleans The Far East Even BI were recently flooded. If you dont think it happens you really need to check out world news! Rgds LoK http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/worldnews/europe/czechrepublic/10096366/Worst-flooding-for-a-decade-hits-Prague.html for example Edited June 13, 2014 by orlok
11tw 106 Posted June 13, 2014 Also, with the breakdown of society, there are no defenses. No one running dams, no one diverting water etc. Without a government, many areas would quickly become regular flood zones in wet seasons.
