Long Chain and Chain Ball For Hostiles

As everybody know we have handcuff for put on our hostiles and make much fun but  in my opinion its not enaugh for DayZ This game should be show off diffrence from other dayz mods.

 

So I suggest those actions;

 

1-We should able to put chain ball our hostile (for both leg)

And that item could be loot from prisons and some houses or crafting method we can make chain ball.

 

2-We should able to attach long chain on our hostiles handcuff. And we should able to controll hostile take where we want to go with chain and also able to attach that chain on certain places like  grates, bicycle park places or something like that so hostile cant run away. But you should get long chain with crafting and it should be hard to get it abit.

 

3-we should able to attach long chain on hostiles neck  too

 

or if you saying noone cant get rid of chain so then make it rope so when our hostile wiggle so much he can break rope and run away. İn my opinion for realistic game both option should be in game rope and chain.

Do they even still use the ball and chain anymore?  I mean other than a museum where would you find a real one?  Modern leg shackles do more than enough to hobble an inmate, especially if they are connected to the cuffs.

I think the best option for captive control should be the direct approach.  You grab the captive and force them to walk, similar to dragging in Arma2/Mod.  In Second Life 'leashing' one player to another ends up with some weird results at times, I doubt it would be much better with the DayZ engine.

Yes your idea also good leasing player to player I didnt think about that it will be also fun B)  But actually some player types like me who like to torture enemy it will be veryy funny to attach victim with rope or chain to somewhere and just run away or make victim beg for save his life :D

That wasn't my point.  I meant that leashing (which is what you want to do with the chain) can be problematic when it comes to two player controlled entities.  You see people getting 'yanked' out of sync, the puller moves smoothly and unless the pull-ie is following of their own free will, the animation is jerky at best.  Then it comes to interaction with the rest of the world.  I've seen leashed people get suck on a door, and as the person who leashed them continue to walk they get stuck int he various corners of the room their in, unable to do anything to get unstuck as the 3 foot leash 'magically' extends to halfway across the map as the Leash holder keeps walking.

I just want to chain up a zombie, equip him with a backpack and force him to walk behind me carrying all my stuff. And to be safe I would like to be able to muzzle him with a gas mask and chop off his forearms with an axe.

 

Sounds a little bit gruesome, but it would double your carrying capacity...

 

however, for me this is a minor issue. Hopefully when the game is finished there will be a million and one things to craft and this will be one of them.

That, would kill your makeshift packmule.  These are not the undead, they are infected living.  So unless you've got something to cauterize the wounds it's gonna die (even then it might die from the shock).  Now handcuffing a zombie on the other hand...

hmmm I dont know much about  developing games but maybe there is one way to fix that bug I just wanted to say idea cause most important part is in this game player vs player so they should put in game something interesting and new that you can do to other player. Like torture with tools and as ı said force your hostile to walk with you like dog with chain :lol:

Hmmmm....you would like a feature where we can walk our prisoners around like a dog?  Would you also like them in a skin tight leather Gimp outfit?

I didnt mean that but yeah if you chain one person from neck  it wıll looks like dog :D  legs hands neck can be chained or roped it will increase difficulty level but also it will increase reality of game handcuffs not enaugh for this game cause this game based pVp so they should increase features about pvp actions. İf this game was not pvp and online I dont think that much people play it.

Cause that sooooooooooo isn't copied off the walking dead. Defintely not.

I hope with new engine they can add something similar like that ı suggested. Much options about Player to player interactions (friendly,unfriendly) will make much fun in this game. :rolleyes: If anybody know, please let me know when wıll we avaible to play game with new engine. (approx)

+1 ... I could see this being used on zombies for carrying extra supplies and gear hoarding.
