Loot Respawning is in yeah? What about Economy etc?

I guess I just haven't heard that they were - or weren't - going to separate the implementation of these parts of the loot respawn system.

From what I understood, they were also going to implement a loot economy system and another wherein the quality and/or quantity of loot that spawned was dependent on the server's population.

Does anyone have any information about the implementation, or lack thereof, of these systems?

Won't happen untill 64bit servers are ready. Thats for sure.

Well unless it was a visual glitch , I saw a crossbow spawn right in front of me at the north east airfield ... It seemed to just "pop out of nowhere" but it could definitely have been a weird unknown visual glitch ... Can't wait til loot respawns efficiently .

Loot respawning is in on EXP, unless I missed the original purpose of .45 and reason for all the rubberbanding.

I actually ended up solving my own question partially, Loot Economy is slated for Q3 but no info on the other part.

sometimes objects pop up when you get within a distance or with texture taking a while to load. I think its confirmed there is currently NO loot respawn

Experimental Branch: 0.45.123906

The primary purpose of this exp update is based around loot spawning - just testing out some changes to the system.

The rubberbanding on 0.45 experimental is related to experiments with respawning loot. This is the first piece, issues are to be expected. They are logging a new respawning technique. The processing causes significant CPU drain, causing delayed processing of position data. Experimental is not the place for strong user experiences, it's for testing new systems. We're going to drop the player #s down on the exp branch boxes to mitigate some of the perf issues with the new loot systems.
 
The update is purely to allow us to track data on the hive which is why there are very few server instances online.

Experienced several times the same, was sure there had been no loot and the next time I walked by that place, shoes or sth were on the ground, and the crossbow popped up several times.

Loot respawning is in exp, but every time you're relatively close to an area which is in the process of respawning loot, you lose the session. Really annoying

I hadn't heard about the plan to base the item quality/quantity on server population; this is a must in my book and would be awesome!

I've only experienced "Session lost" in experimental when server restarts.

Most of the times I get it is when loot respawns. After I'm expelled, I immediately join the same server, which is usually a bit emptier after the error, but not completely empty like when it restarts. When I spawn in, I notice that most loot is the same, though some has changed and empty spawns are filled with new loot. That's why I chalk it up to the loot respawn system. Also, restarted servers can't be joined for a couple mins, while most of the time I can immediately rejoin the server if I get the session lost error.

That'll just lead to less servers, no-one will play on quiet servers, quiet servers will never get the opportunity to grow into popular servers. It'll just end up with a narrower range of options for everyone. Would be a poor decision to punish honest server owners while dishonest ones are blatantly advertising what they are doing and BI do hee-haw about it.
