I want to know what you guys would have done in a situation like the one i am going to describe now, this is a little story of a situation where i meet a guy. So here it is:

 

  I was working my way down the coast, when i arrive at Kamishovo i could notest that the front houses were with their doors closed so i scavenged what i could and reminded myself that i only had 3 bullets for my main gun wich was the mosin. So i was going to the police station to find some of 7.62 rounds hopefully, and thats when i see a guy running out from it naked with a crossbow in his back, bleeding and with 3 zombies behind him and an awesome press vest on him too.

  So he takes refuge on a house near to the sea and i presume he was trying to find some bandages since he was already all naked and i decide to help him, so i go there... i put the zombies down and when he see's me he starts to panic but i told him to stay calm and i was going to bandagem him. He thanks me for that.

  Then the shitstorm starts, after getting closer of him and notesting that he was wearing nothing but a pristine press vest, and since i was in a need of one... i decide to handcuff him and took that for me, afterall he had nothing but that and a crossbow with no arrows in it. And as soon as i uncuff him he starts to throw bad names at me calling me piece of s***, jackass and many other bad things while i was leaving the place.

 

  So i was asking myself, and i want to know what you guys think about that...

 

What should i have done in a situation like that? What would you have done after all that?

You could have just asked him for the vest.

 

If I rob some one and they're acting like a punk I just shoot them though.  But I treat the people I rob pretty good.

well, i would have never uncuffed him, let him do the wiggle, let him swear and throw bad names at you,

in comparison to many people i know, you have acted like a saint ^^

Why do you even ask? It is a game where you are free to do what you like, provided you do not cheat or abuse glitches.

If I really craved that press vest (good item) I would try to rob him.

Handcuffing him was definitely good idea and you should get some beans for not just headshotting him.

 

I think banditry is nicer if bandits do not always just take the easy road and kos anything that move.

To try and risc hold up, where you rob somebody and let him live, is far more thrilling and rewarding experience.

 

I mean some psychotic kos sniper here and there is also good for atmosphere and keep you on your toes.

It's just not that good when everybody does that.

i robbed People of Vests twice allready. Was allways a loner and we where at least 2. Stoped and searched, than let him trade his life for the vest.

 

People did that to me too, alomst allways to get the damm leather jacket :D

Honestly, if all he had was the vest and an unloaded crossbow you may as well just shot him.  You were leaving him with less than a fresh spawn has.

I don't do that kind of shit in the first place. But If you'd taken that press vest from me, I'd use my very particular set of skills, skills I have acquired over a very long career. Skills that make me a nightmare for people like you. I'd give you a choice: give it back, that'll be the end of it. I will not look for you, I will not pursue you. You shouldn't help a guy just to steal from him. It would have been more humane to simply shoot him rather than leave him naked, at least then he'd have a t-shirt for rags and wouldn't be bothing with a stupid crossbow. If you're going to help someone, help them. Helping them robbing is kinda like double crossing, or kinda like taking a girl on a date and paying for dinner yet getting nothing in return. Or kinda like this weekend's GoT episode where the Viper pwned the Mountain getting our hopes up only to get lost in revenge blindness leaving an opening that caused him to have his skull exploded in the Mountain's massive hands.

I would've probably done various things to him for cussing like that, but to each their own. I usually let my victims go, but I'd send this one straight to hell.

It was a clothing item no? compared to literally eveything else in the game finding vest is common.

I did something similar, handcuffed a guy in the middle of Cherno but then realised I didn't have any keys to uncuff him.

 

I just ran away.

Force him into a building that you cannot crawl out of, break his legs, and leave him :)

 

He could quite possibly be stuck there forever.
