It's a simple thing. How can you snipe people if there is a fog and you can't see through a longer distance?

I will gladly welcome the fog because you won't be able to camp in a building and kill people randomly anymore.

I was strolling past the east side of Elektro. I scouted the area before and I concluded that the area was not looted because there were too many zombies. So, there's a guy walking into the area, a zombie starts chasing him, guy pulls out his SKS and starts shooting. After that, tons of Zombies started running towards his position and he continued shooting with his SKS instead of using his axe or running away. At one moment, the guy was surrounded by 15 zombies and he died. I laughed so hard when I saw the 100 zombies running towards his direction after the first shot.

I agreed to meet a friend at the apartments in Berenzino. I was fully geared and I didn't die for almost 2 weeks. I entered Berenzino and started strolling like a tourist, stopped by the medical station BAAAAAAAAAAM You're dead ...

I haven't died for a week. I was fully geared and equipped. I usually play as a lone wolf but this time I decided to play with another player. Went to meet him at Berenzino and I guy sneaked behind me and shot me without any warning. :lol: Don't regret at all, actually it was fun.

Hey guys, Here's a topic where everyone can share their first kill experience in DayZ. This is mine: I bought the game 3-4 days ago. After watching tons of youtube videos of DayZ, I pretty much knew what to do once I started playing. I always choose to be a "hero". So far, it's my third character and it is fully geared. I was strolling down the coast helping newbies. I noticed that my M4 components are in bad condition and I decided to head to the NW airstrip to get ones that are in pristine condition. While searching the tents, I encountered two guys with their weapons drawn completely concentrated on looting the tents, they didn't notice me at all. Once I realized that their weapons are drawn I immediately panicked and started shooting and killed both of them. I continued with my quest of acquiring M4 components, here comes another guy with his gun drawn also concentrated on looting the tents without noticing me or any of his environments. Afraid that he'll see the two dead bodies and that he'll probably start panicking, I shot him right in the head and killed him. Now I feel bad for KOS, but I guess I was overly attached to my gear and looting material so far, I didn't want to risk since they already had their guns drawn and would have probably done the same thing to me if they saw me first. This is my only ''reasonable" justification for Killing on sight. I guess it's all about survival after all.

I was in the same situation. I'm all geared up and now I decided to join a clan and have some fun hunting bandits or other clans.

I was crashing on different intervals, and then I changed/lowered the video settings and now I'm fine. Maybe you don't have a strong PC setup to play on higher settings.

From my short experience so far (2 days), I managed to encounter 10 people, 2 of them immediately killed me, the rest of them were scared and just run away. I tend to never shoot first, and I always offer help to weaker players and they always decline.

How can I see my health levels, or I just have to follow the character needs for water, food etc ... ?

Hi guys, I'm Viktor and just started playing DayZ Standalone yesterday. Love the game, still have some tricks to learn. Today I did a successful raid on the Chernarus International Airfield but I'm disappointed because I only managed to find Sporter 22. >:( Now I will head back to the coast and offer protection and guidance to new players.
