WELL..That sucked mr compass

weapon on my back, mosin in my hands...check compass which puts my mosin down..i walk off realize i dont have walk back cant find it in the vanicity..server restarts and were done.

 

so the compass what position do i need to be in to see it correctly?

 

i stand and cant see it i kneel and it in my knee i crawl and it works half the time

Go first person, place it in your hands and double tap left alt to move your head down and look at it.

Ive done this running through a forest, quickly hit the hotkey for my compass, forgetting i had an M4 in hand and Mosin on my back.

 

By the time i realised i had run with my compass out and could never find the M4 again...it is still out there somewhere!!

Once, I was in the woods outside kamy, about to run north to find- you guessed it- a mosin.

Low-and-behold, right in the middle of the woods

Fully decked out camo mosin.

I had to rub my bloody eyes to make sure it was real- best sniping spree ever.

It really varies on the screwed over to friendly encounter ratio on a server. :D

 

Also, I've been doing less official RRF jobs lately, really just been drifting with some saline and a medkit, finding people to help out.

By far the best way. A friend of mine told me this- there is no reason for the compass to be in my hot bar now :)
