OverPoch...What are the benefits of playing this Mod?

Excuse my ignorance,as I am mostly a Vanilla player and have recently been playing Overwatch.I have never experienced Epoch so I don't know what it offers in the way of gameplay.I was curious about Overpoch though because I was watching a vid and someone kept using the terminology of "AI" in it.Is there some kind of "Bot" play in this mod that they are referring to as AI? I am not sure about the whole Epoch trader system and all the aspects of that particular mod but, I would not mind finding a mod or a server that has " AI/Bots " (players) running in it to make things interesting along with the zombies.Anyone know of such a thing or can enlighten me on any of this? Thanx!

99% of the Epoch servers do have AI running at the map. At random times (depends from server) there will be some AI missions to do, which include killing them. Those missions are attracted by players alot so it will becose a good gunfight on high pop servers.

Pretty much epoch offers base building and traders and then servers add small mods like ai missions

WHAT IS OVERPOCH?:

Overpoch has overwatch vehicles, and guns added to the epoch trader, and base building system.

 

AI? (Animated Intelligence):

As for Animated intelligence, the most most server has is the AI missions, I very rarely stumble on a server with roaming AI, except for the occasional chopper, or SUV packed with armed AIs.

 

Most servers have missions with crates in the middle, and surrounded by ghilliesuit snipers and military camo corpsmans (Core-mans)

 

Other servers have Hero AI, and bandit AI in a huge fight in major cities like cherno, and elektro, but very rarely since it can make people angry to be spawnkilled by them.

 

EPOCH?:

 

Epoch is a mod that allows you to build huge bases, and earning money by selling items, and guns you find across the map. One of the major things in epoch is the safes which allow you to store gear in an indestructible box, with an almost uncrackable 4 digit code (10,000 different combos).

Hi there dude!

 

Let me give you some background quickly.

 

OverPoch is the mutation of Overwatch (all out PvP high gun spawning mod) and Epoch (a very much creative basebuilding mod with traders and safe zones to buy/sell gear)

 

I've made a few videos on this mod already and I love it!! It has a lot of PvP though and not many friendlies. The beauty of it all is raiding bases attacking other clans or people and doing the AI missions to obtain the best weapons and bulk building supplies.

 

If you ask me Chenarus is the best map for this mod as it's big and some servers allow you to spawn in at 6 different points (via parachute) it doesn't take long to get gear but it's advised you DO NOT sit around in cities for too long as a fresh spawn can get an assault rifle almost anywhere and take you out, and trust me it will happen. I've spent 30 minutes trying to get out of Elektro with my clan because of snipers and zergers.

i quite like epoch because the old mod is quite clunky and old now compared to the standalone, its nice to be able to hop onto Epoch and usually there are a lot more vechicles lying around. i dont like the way it kinda turned into GTA, with the whole collecting money and cars , players can become very overpowered, and servers can be crowded with brought items. However if u play it on low pop servers for small time periods i find it quite a good fast way to play some vehicle day z

Just reading through the above posts, I can see no benefits of trying out this mod. Its like dayz on acid
