Most Desirable Loot for Trade?

So I have been thinking a lot lately about the Trader group I mentioned in this post previously. I am pretty sure I am going to start recruiting for this soon and building up a few like-minded folks into a workable group. With this in mind, I am trying to decide what sorts of items are the most desirable for trading. Ammo is probably always going to be in high demand, but beyond that, I know what I consider valuable.

 

• Favorite weapons (often those with more than two shots in them)
• Quick loaders and large clips
• Canteens and Waterbottles
• Tactical Jackets and Holsters
• Rice, cereal and powdered milk
• Large packs
• Ammo cases and protective cases
• Medical supplies, especially blood test kits

Are there any other items that are probably in high demand that would be of great interest to players willing to trade? (yes, I know bandits are probably going to be eyeing us too)

This is why I figured the blood test kits would rank high. I am always finding blood bags and syringes, but to date have only ever found five blood testing kits and even then only two were ever on the same life. I figure they would be super valuable to players and of course using a few on our own troops would tell us who has O- to fill some blood bags with as well.

This is one of the let-downs for me in regards to the game. Everything is regenerative. All you have to do is wait for most of the items to respawn. It's a lovely idea, but in the end it's just "Let's kill em and take it!"

This is why you'd need almost half of a trade group to be armed guards. Also, I remember a video earlier this year with Dean explaining that there was going to be a change in the loot system so that certain items would only spawn once in an entire server.

There is a very good chance the trade group I started will soon be able to start offering up O- blood bags. I will keep people posted on that.

I had the Orel uniform and press vest, but the new zombies got to those. I do however still have an engraved 1911 and a few LRS up available for trade.

I now have quite a few of these for trade, Several pristine and one with a pristine hat to keep it on. No one has requested any who I've met yet though.

 

I could swear someone was asking about a pristine cowboy hat too, but haven't found that posting to offer it to them.

Some people really like cereal. I never bother with cereal or rice most of the time myself due to how much hydration you lose, but I do know there have been people who were very excited to have it.

Why mention all these thing you can loot? Why not some of the combinations that are difficult to put together?

 

Stuff like

• Any pistol with clip (and ammo in case of .45 which seems rare these days)
• Fishing rod (Ashwood stick + rope + lure + bait combined, why only trade for the lure)
• Backpigpack.

I'd be way more inclined to put my posterior on the trade-line for a full fishing rod than just one of the components.

I'd only mentioned the things people have been asking after. I do have several pistols and a few clips, though I will have to go through and inventory which ones I have that pair properly since I've not had any requests lately for them. I have a good supply of backpacks at the moment, but a shortage of rope, so improvised backpacks, bows and full fishing rods are currently in short supply. If people want full fishing rods, I can probably pull something together in the next few days. Most of the time I find people looking for one component of what they need (often the lures for example) rather than a fully made set. Since the full sets tend to take up a lot of inventory, I usually only make one if requested. If you like, LeeVanSpliff, I will message you on here when I have one ready for you.
