Questions to Dayz devs

Recommended Posts

Hello there

I have a couple of questions to the dev team.

1. Why add more things when you still have alot of bugs to iron out? for example lots of collision problems, zombies running at the speed of light? thats a hilarious thing. zombies able to run through walls, zombies able to attack from nowhere, and through walls, they cant go up on stairs, players fall through at some places. these are some of the basic elements of the game. why not first focus on that?

2. A good laugh is not bad. But come on really? i tried to jump and kill myself to spawn somewhere else from a tall building at different places on the building 10 times and no death?

These stuff and probably some more has not been fixed yet. why? you havent fixed any of that for some time now. Whats the problem?

AI is one thing, but the zombies are still the main thing of the game? hows that you guys set the zombies on god mode?. whats up with that? they dont even have to climb stairs. they can attack you from the other side of the map.

I'm not a developer but I can answer your questions...

There are different teams working on different things. For example the map designers aren't going to be working on zombie AI, are they? So it makes sense that tasks are completed at different times and implemented into the game once they are completed.

The zombies are a work in progress and will be improved over time.

As you seem to have such high expectations and do not seem content to put up with the bugs and such that come with the territory of an early alpha build I would recommend coming back once we're at the final 1.0 release.

See there's people who value bug fixes and devs fixing known issues in the game, before adding in any further content.

Then there is a much larger group who complains about there not being a lot to do in a game, and thus forces the devs to add in more content to keep these whiners happy and playing their game.

I am with the group who prefers things be put in working order before adding in anything new, even if fixing these things takes a while.
