When are we getting more weapons and vehicles?

Recommended Posts

Not to sound ungrateful but since I bought this game back at the end of last year, very little new content has come out in the game. I am sure there have been many fixes and bug patching but at this rate the game won't be finished for another year... or two. God only knows when we would see some vehicles in the game.

I like the game but the slow pace of development is just killing me. And before everyone starts saying "What did you expect? This is an alpha release." have a think about how long it will stay as an alpha going at the pace that it has.....

Oh one of these again? Not what i wanted to read before work.

I would much prefer this game to stay in alpha for 2 years than be rushed out because the community are impatient kids. Too many posts moaning about development here.

Q3 we get Bikes and ATVs, Q4 we get every other vehicle. Also, would it kill you to search for the roadmap? Just use the search function or google it.

Firstly, I don't know about the demographics of the community so I cannot comment on the "impatient kids" and I don't think you could make a claim like that either unless you have access to stats that no one else does.

Secondly, if you are seeing a lot "these" types of posts, surely that tells you something - and no, it's not that are we all impatient kids. What it does mean is that others are also running out of patience or maybe even waiting for something that will never arrive...

The reality is; the developers have already received their money so from a financial perspective dedicating more resources and time to this game would not make sense. Sure, finishing the game might attract more players but a time spent vs return analysis would show you that any more money or time spent would not yield a greater return than they have already received. The underlying assumption here is that those who wanted to play this game already purchased it and while there are those that will wait for the "finished" product, they are in the minority.

Sorry to ruin your working day but I just wanted to vent my frustration with the hopes that the developers might listen to the voices of the community whether they be kids, impatient, or otherwise.

Yep, a year or two is the current time frame they've given us alright.

So you are saying I am going to get my Lexus six months from now? I am going to hold you to that.

I'd like more survival content before getting more weapons and vehicles...it's already like every other shooter just in a bigger format.

You won't be getting a Lexus, if you want a Lexus you're gonna have to wait a whole lot longer til a modder comes by and makes it.

No Lexus??!?!?! WTF are they going to release? Zombie apocalypse or not, I won't be seen in any of those cheap Hyandais. Me and my crew only roll in Lexuses or X5s.

First vehicle there putting out is the Bicycle and to be honest minus the storage space its going to be one of the best overall vehicles in game when you dont want everyone around you being able to know your there. Its very fast both on and offroad and you can go up steep inclines allot better with it.

I take your point about the stealth aspect of the bicycle and the low emission advantage over the Lexus. Still it's not what I was expecting for a first vehicle... suddenly the idea of rolling in a Hyandai doesn't seem so bad.

They will not make them common because then that breaks the immersion of survival...:P

Well they did say choppers were going to take insane amounts of pieces to create so i assume there vehicles are going to be very hard to put together minus the bike which will take less resources to repair and fix up.

What it tells me that the community is full of entitled muppets. So many people these days are impatient, dont read, complain. Yeah you spent money, buf before you spent your money you were warned of the products current status. Which was not a great status being alpha and all (oh no the A word). If at the end of this year the game has not improved then i fully understand complaints. Btw the "impatient kids" was not a claim, it was a metaphor. Im not sure how you did not pick up on that.

What you have to realise is they have rebuild parts of this engine from the ground up.

Reality? Seriously you think they took the money and did a runner? That explains the pretty feckin awesome patch that is currently in experimental. Also it does not make sense from a buisiness perspective to take money and run. That is incredibily short sighted. Would destroy reputation for good and dean would deffinately not be able to open a studio of his own. Please think before posting.

The only mistake they made was releasing this to the public. Because they are the most ignorant, selfish, greedy and stupid people. I work with customers and boy are they a needy bunch.

your posts indicate that you are totally oblivious to how game development in general works, and in the case of this game seemingly have ignored all the communication via social media, devblog and presentations. yes, your "gief content nao" post reeks of entitlement. dont expect hugs and kisses here. you have not purchased a finished product. the 'early access' isnt a marketing perk. the financial success does in no way mean that the game will be released earlier, in fact, it can mean the contrary, because the team can completely rebuild certain things. the aquisition of two studios in recent months and merging them into one productive team - while great news for the future - has obviously slowed the development pace temporary, but thats known and obvious to anyone who actively follows the development of this game. and quoting from the devblog which you apparently do not read:

Priorities for tasks are built around what is needed based on dependencies, not what is most needed to satisfy the game design

Scheduled builds are targets, not absolutes. We will delay and postpone builds where we are not confident in their status.

At this point in development, content is only a byproduct, not a focus. If you cant live with it (metaphorically, as you said "its killing you"), you should learn not to invest in early development projects, and stick to finished products.

Stick to finished products? LOL I would be waiting at least two more years for the "finished product". I will just try enjoy the bread crumbs that the development team hands out on a half-yearly basis.

I'm with you on the last sentence. My job would actually be alright as well if it wasn't for clients.

After 20+ years the bikes will be rusted, destroyed, or missing parts there not gonna be Mint condition. Yea, common right now, but in this storyline they are not.
