Split clothes into sections.

I think that is such hilaryous that you can be hit by melee attacks by a zombie and you can repair your clothes but, if you get hit by a bullet all the things inside that clothes being ruined....Most of the time bullets passes also through the tactical jacket and, you do simply have all the stuff to throw away.

 

 

I smartly divide my stuff into differents places, like some ammos in the trousers and other in the backpack....some bandages into the panths and other into the backpack. Most of the time everything that is in the chest get ruined, so i put food and drinks.

 

 

But my idea is: What about divide each kind of clothes into sections? If i got a thing in the left pocket, it is not possible that goes damaged also the thing in the opposite pocket.

 

 

If we take a regular jacket of any kind with 4 slot, 2 column of 2, my idea is sto split the clothe into 2 parts. So that if hitbox register an hit in side, that side will be damage.

 

Same for trousers: If we do have trousers of 6 slots, 3 columns of 2 slots each, if you are going to be hit in the left leg, things in the right leg won't ruin. This to give a break to those fights were you get hit and you need to take a minute to understand why you can't reload your weapon, bandage yourself and many more.

 

One time i've met a guy with the mosin, i've shoot him on the chest with a crossbow. when he finished all his 5 bullets he has taken out his axe and we started a melee fight. I Guess i've ruined all his section where he had ammos

 

 

Such annoying being hit, and you do hide yourself and say to your friends: "so i've got ruined this, this and this, gimme 2 mins". in a firefight 2 minutes?!

Because a bullet ruined your pristine coat and you can't repair it because of a single shot, while you find in some barns trousers so badly damage that i won't pick it up but you still can repair them?

Oh comon!

like if you being hit 1 time in a leg and 1 time in the body you just have to kneel down and ask to be killed?

This topic here is basically the same idea. And this one is about different access speed.

 

I am not really sure how item destruction works right now but making it pocket-wise is probably a good idea (otherwise you would destroy everything or have to track the items location inside the inventory in terms of ballistics).
