Screen goes black. but the game keeps running.

so... i'm having this problem. when i join a server. after some time my screen goes black but the game keeps running and i can hear people talking on VOIP, i can still run around without seeing anything, and i can still talk thru VOIP. sometimes this happens after 1-2 hours of playing. some times just after 10 minutes of playing.
when my screen goes black i can still minimize the game and then i can see my desktop but then when i click on the game again, i'm still on my desktop so the only way to turn of the game is alt+f4 or ctrl+alt+delete. any one had similar problem? if so whats the solution?

by the way i didn't had this problem before. it happened a couple of times on 0.44... and now it keeps happening on 0.45...

Hey man!!

You happen to have a nvidia gtx series??

When your game crashes do not do anything until the desktop appears, press "shift" and "-", let go, and type "flush"

It will return you to the game(altough you may have some glitches until restarted)
