There should be precise changelogs after each exp patch (stop treating exp players like they try to break into your stuff)

Recommended Posts

Can you stop treating experimental players like people that just tried to break into your home?

from the experimental forum:

Experimental Patch Discussion
Please note: Experimental updates can come at any time, with any frequency. Things can be removed from the build at a moments notice and many of these changes are half finished and will be modified or even removed entirely prior to going to stable and many of which you will not see (on database side for example) They are development snapshots used for testing experimental work so producing patch notes is not possible. Experimental is not the place for strong user experiences, it's for testing new systems.

Feel free to use these forums to discuss specific experimental patches and things you have found.

Not possible? Patch notes? How about possible? After all the volume of $ and units moved you sure can afford one guy to sit down before each experimental patch throw a basic patchlog so we players can tell if it worth trying it. I dont want to waste hours "working" to find new stuff in a patch. If there is a new weapon or item, mention it in the changelog. That simple.

It is kind of rude going for this "this is experimental so dont expect having fun". If you dont want people to have fun because the game is not ready yet, dont release it at all in the state. And I dont believe the whole "dont buy if" warnings. because that huge fat DAYZ showing up on the steam store front slide does cost some serious money to be there I would assume. So the intention is clearly to get people to buy it.

So yes how about changelogs so I can tell before booting the game if the patch brings something I want to play with or not. Finding out after many hours wether there is something new is not fun. I dont want to gamble my gaming time on the prospect of perhaps something interesting showing up in a patch because developers are too lazy to write a change log.

Would I rather complete changelogs? Sure.

Do I understand why they're not given? Absolutely.

You don't write a book if you're just going to rip all the pages out to start a fire.

Reposting in a different section doesn't make your point any more valid:

This has been discussed lengthy already, there is no need for another discussion.

The Devs will post a change log when ready.

Re-posting a Topic that I locked will not end well, cease or be gone.
