Does how a player is dressed in the game effect your first thoughts about them? If you see someone in all black or all military cammo with a kevlar does it make you think bandit?

 

I know the military gear has the most storage but I tend to go with brown or green hoodies with hunter pants. I like the look better and I think its less threatening, I've also started collecting an urban look, dark blue jeans with white/black checked shirt and blue taloon backpack.

Dosent matter how you Dress...you will get killed eventually. I had friendly Encounters with Groups of millgear fetishists, and deadly ones with People that appeard to be"normal" and vice versa.

Yeah there's really no rhyme or reason. I always try to expect the unexpected with every encounter. If I see someone in full mil gear & weapon drawn, I'll try to engage in communication from a distance if at all. As for people that have minimal gear, I'll be a little more aggressive & not so cautious knowing that I have the upper hand.

 

For the record, I only kill in self-defense.

Mh actually yes.. Somehow I mostly distrust those guys that wear a gasmask, followed by the other masks, though I mistrust the gasmask the most :P

The second appearence I mistrust the most is the combination of sunglasses and any kind of beret. Made a lot of bad experiences facing that stuff.

 

Rest is quite open for me. But I guess everyone gets his or her individual prejudices basing on the bad or good experiences they have made with people wearing certain outfits (probably rather subconsciously).

 

Though I think those gasmask-guys are really not trustful :D

In general civilian gear (dress-to-impress) looks more trustworthy while military gear (camo) is suspicious. And if someone has a green ballistic helmet he is most likely a bandit.

When I see someone in a FULL set of military gear I get concerned. Either:

1. They spend a lot of time on low pop servers and avoid contact, they might be ok hero or loner types.
2. They're in a clan/group and spend a lot of time camping the airfields and such. PVP comes naturally to them and I'm suspicious.
3. They're gear dupers/glitchers with whatever gear they want and endless ammo. There's so much abuse of this that anyone I see fully decked out, alone, I almost assume this is what I'm dealing with and that I'm going to die.
