Some slots in a backpack are not usable

Recommended Posts

Hi there,

I recently had the problem, that two or three slots in a backpack and a vest were empty but I wasn't able to put somethin in it. The items I wanted to take with me were small enough to fit into a single slot. The background color of that slot was a bit brighter than the others that were filled with stuff.

The backpack was only worn and the vest pristine.

Is this "just" a bug or what could this mean?

TIA!

Tony

You can just place your backpack/coat/trousers on the ground and pick them up again or read this Topic for other options.

Thanks for this link and your hint.

I searched a while but used other keywords, so I missed that.

This one is quirky and annoying, but as noted - if you move whatever (backpack, pants, etc) to the left pane so it's effectively out of inventory you should be able to move the item(s) into the slots that weren't cooperating and then put whatever (backpack, pants, etc) back on. Just be careful, if you put them fully on the ground and hit tab to close your inventory there's also a chance they'll warp somewhere, be it through a floor, to another room, etc. They may also lag and not appear at all for a few moments and then suddenly appear in front of you like magic.

This known issue can be worked around, but I bite my nails every time hoping nothing goes wrong.
