Server tells me to wait for hours while joining

Hello,

 

many times I got problems while joining a sever. Regardless of HC or REG.

 

I pick it out of the list and get connected. The system loads and after some seconds there is a "Please Wait" in the middle of the screen and a READY in the bottom left corner.

The READY disappears after some time and that's all. Please wait. I waited for minutes, but nothing happens. Bei pressing ESC I see the surroundings of the area I am in, but I am just able to wait or exit.

 

Do you know the reason for this?

Usually if the game doesn't load within couple of seconds - no more than 30 after you see the "please wait", I'd suggest switching servers.

 

I had this problem back in the mod too, some servers just wouldn't work for me.

It's a known bug. Only thing you can do is back out and try to join again. It's best to try to join the same server to (hopefully/maybe) avoid a login timer. It sucks but it's the only thing you can really do.

The problem is that the next login will take a bit longer. Sometimes I had to wait 180secs for spawning.

 

You wait longer to join a useable server than you'll play the game. Believe me.... ;)

I got the same problem sometimes too. It's annoying cause you have to wait the timer (on my side it is often 100 seconds), but the second time I usually can enter the server.
