Why isn't my Dayz Commander working?

I just got Dayz yesterday and my Dayz Commander and play with SIX have not been working. On Dayz Commander it just says I don't own the game and wants me to buy it so I can't update it. On and Play with Six just crashes whenever I open it. I have tried uninstalling then installing it but it still doesn't work. I have no idea what to do now please help!

Did you change from the default install directory? If so, go into settings in dayz commander and override the directories.

 

Also, make sure both steam options are not ticked.

You said you got "DayZ" yesterday, are you talking about the Standalone? Because the Standalone does not require DayZCommander. DayZCommander is only for the mod, which is a Modification for ARMA 2 and ARMA 2: Operation Arrowhead. Do you own those games and have them installed?

for dayz commander you have to open arma 2 and arma oa before you launch commander ....... 

if you have not done that they wont open and prompt you to buy
