So come on folks, any of you has an embarrassing or awkward moment? I think I reached a new low today, and I need to share the trauma with someone.

 

I play bandit mostly, unless we have a new guy in the clan who needs equipment, I'll happily take them to NE/NWAF. On this occasion we all had everything we need and decided to make a move in Berezino for some good old fashioned PvP.

 

We all ran from the school in Berezino, to the docks and we encountered a fresh spawn, we invited him in, gave him a pistol and told him to be on his way. This pistol was chambered with one round, so we were pretty relaxed about it. On his exit, I attempted to knee cap him, unsuccessfully. He turned around and aimed the gun at a team mate, he was instantly blown away with M4 & Mosin fire. We travelled around the docks and I moved up to the Gas station. I suddenly heard a wave of M4 fire towards me and a team mate reported someone standing above him, he was made unconscious pretty shortly afterwards, the second team mate who was to the right of unconscious fellow saw this mysterious M4 man disappear and I decided to relocate back to the docks to take refuge. I saw a man without any trousers and wearing a cowboy style hat, shot him once and he suddenly vanished. We knew it was a hacker and all logged out inside on the hangers on the docks asap.

 

I logged back in after an hour or two and decided to head to the pub just opposite medic centre with my friends, who reported to be 2-3 houses down from pub. I ran him, ran upstairs and got to the top floor and knelt down besides two characters I thought was my team mates. I confirmed I was next to them and I didn't see anyone else. They asked me over Teamspeak "We don't see you, we must be desyncing. I saw one of the characters pull out a sawn off and slot me between the eyes. My team mates were in the house next door.

 

It was all good in the end, 4 of their friends logged in with them, we slot them all and revelled in our freshly laden M4's and hunter backpacks, but the motto of the story - make sure it's the right house.

Camped in a bush outside of a jail building at NEAF for about 15 mins waiting for someone to come along. This was before I had ever killed someone and wanted to try and steel my nerves with some pvp. I finally see two players go into the building, so I run to the side of it after they go in and stupidly typed in direct 'You are all going to die!' just to mess with them. Then I ran into the building to wait in the jail part and was slaughtered by a guy with an sks coming back down the stairs that caught me just as I almost made it into the room.

Never again.

Also voluntarily 'surrendering' to what I thought looked like a friendly group far inland on an experimental server. They were not friendly at all.

That Bush is has saved my soul a many times. I remember I was scared of killing people or being shot too. Until I got my first ever contact which lasted about five minutes, involved me with a 1911 (1 mag, plenty of spare rounds) and him with a Blaze. My two other friends were to scared to show their faces...

 

and yeah, those "friendly" groups.. absolute bastards :(

I ran around in circles surrounding a warehouse with a zombie chasing me, frantically trying to grab the wrench I see. When I accidentally picked it up, I realized something much worse, I had also forgotten which key readys the weapon. Needless to say, I became food, then memorized the controls lol.

I remember heading up NEAF and we saw a guy in the Jail through the window, we thought he was AFK but took our time to approach anyway, we took one peak and realised he was eating, took advantage and stormed the place. 2 of us against 1 of him, we told him to drop everything, run to the hangar and wait for us to walk out, when we'll tell him to grab what kit we had left and he can be on his way. With 2x M4's at his face, he obliged. While my friend took what he wanted off him, I kept an eye on the hangars to see any movement from upstairs, we noticed this completely naked get running around in circles being chased by a zombie, really wasn't his day. 

2 minutes later we realised he was bleeding heavy and another character with a Mosin was chasing him with an axe and his devout follower. He spoke to them, bandaged and all three made their way to us, we could hear him explaining to them that we didn't have ammo otherwise we would have just blew him away there and then and not ask him to go to hangar. Me and my team mate took defensive positions upstairs, him with a bug so he couldn't aim down sight any more, he took corner of stairs and tried quickly relogging to fix the bug while I covered entrance. The character with the mosin was the first, he sprinted upstairs and his friendly shortly after him while the naked guy grabbed what's left of his gear and ran for the nearest exit. 

 

They were wrong, we had plenty of ammo but they didn't! Not embarrassing for me, but I guess they felt a bit awkward being slotted on the stairs like that.

Meet a friendly dude, ran with him for a while, we talked, killed a fisticuff Bambi that came at us 3 times...but then he tried to handcuff me twice ( he had them out while i ate ) So i told him we gonna part ways, i ran some odd 50 meters..turned and shot him in the head. ( with a loaded BLAZE he gave me as a token of trust )

 

I dragged his stuff off his Body ( so it wont dissapear ) and felt really bad since the dude was nice....( BUT that handcuff Thing..eh ) so to rest my Soul i knew he whould come back and i just ran at him,, droped everything and let him kill me.

 

too bad...could have been the beginning of something i guess....( minus that damm handcuff Thing, iam too paranoid for someone making a "joke" with cuffs...)

The first embarassing thing that comes to my mind right now, is when I stalked a guy who shot a couple of newspawns.

And when I finally have the upper hand, and is close enough (without him noticing me until now) I burst forward with my mosin.. And "click"... I had forgot to reload it.. And so I died.

few weeks ago, me and some friends were doing the berezino rounds.  My friend fell unconscious outside the docks and neither of us had an epi-pen so my friend decided to respawn and run back to get his stuff.  I took up a position in the crane with my mosin and was scoping the area, I heard a gun-shot and hit 'x' to crouch (or so I thought)..... what I'd actually done is hit 'v' and climbed out of the crane and fell to my death on the 'legs' of the crane -.-

 

my mate told me that he couldn't get to my body so I ran back, managed to climb over the fence and get to the legs of the crane, got all of my stuff back again but there was no way of getting down, I jumped down to the ground and died, got back to my corpse a second time and all my stuff was ruined :(

Back when Elektro was the place to be in DayZ, I went on to sniper hill as we'd seen people shooting from the firestation nearby. I lay down behind my friends when one of them turned around and shot me in the face. Turned out they weren't my friends as they were actually in a completely different place looking at the other fire station.

 

and then:

 

2 of us were on the coast near Kamy, my friend had a mosin and an M4 on him running around near the road, I was looting the houses. A bambi ran up and started talking to my friend, so my friend tried to handcuff him. Obviously as he had 2 primary weapons he dropped the M4 in front of the bambi, who took advantage, grabbed it and ran off. I managed to kill him with my pistol but not before he'd ruined my backpack.

Here's another one that's probably happened to some. I decided to be a hero. I could see a guy over a fence getting chased by a zombie. He was a total fresh spawn punching away. I tell him to quit running around so the z stops running. I take a shot with my magnum, oops, headshot. Totally missed the zombie. I didn't even think the dude was in my line of sight but you know, gun disbursement.

I really meant to help....this time! I actually felt bad and I even type talked to him so he's probably running around asking if anyone knows where CANUCKinNZ is.

It was an accident dude. :(

Yeah I kinda have one, that was our own fault really

There were 4-5 of us and we ran into a group of 5 freshies teaming up, a couple of us made our presence known as 2 of them had loaded guns and we didn't want to panic them

So far so good, we back off and watch them play around looting unaware we are still around when one of the freshies betrays the group and we watch them put him down

Then we noticed a fully geared guy creeping up on them and we fire a warning shot and he surrenders so we have a chat

He claims meh was just curious at what they were doing

We patch him up, supply him Ect and tell him to leave

As he's leaving another geared guy appears and seems friendly so now there's 4 freshies nearby looting, 2 randoms and 5 of us, we decide to leave and I hang back to watch and notice the second guy approaches the first geared guy and they sit there and then start following the others in my own group

We surround them and tell them it's the last time they have a chance to leave or we kill them, we should have........

I'm hiding about 10 metres away in a bush and my team leaves, this time they both draw their guns and aim at my group

I lean out and manage to kill them both before they can fire and I feel pretty good when....

Second one goes down and they dive to the floor as suppressive M4 fire kicks in

Myself and another teammate move to cover and the 3rd guy with us is pinned down

I spot a guy running down the train tracks with an M4 when I get hit in the leg with a sniper round, then the teammate with me gets taken down as I'm using morphine by an M4 guy next to us

I return fire and I'm out of ammo and he turns and runs, I figure he is too as he puts away his gun and sprints into the woods

I reload and fire, hitting him but he's still running and bleeding

My other teammate is dead by now and I want blood

I run into the trees and I see the guy bandaging and another guy watching the road

I fire and miss every shot, with my SKS from about 50m

They ever so casually turned and fired one shot, killing me

I respawn and meet a geared guy about 20mins later with a similar story

He said him and 2 friends were approached by two men who as soon as their backs were turned.....another 7 (making it 9men strong)

Tried to rob them, he said he got away but his friends got killed even after giving up their gear

So yeah, we should have given them 1 warning not to follow us and then just shot them before their group set up positions

Haha, that's a classic! I wish there was some option to see which people are in your group and where too they are, at least you know everyone else is either a target or already dead.

You can use same hats to identify each other. Like fully geared group with orange hardhat on. That does stand out :D

My friend, Angry Ginger, and I were meeting up in Cherno's police station. I got there first, I believed, and began to clear the building. Now Ginger had been playing games without me the night before and had totally change his look. I was basically a fresh spawn, just had an m4 with a ten round mag. As I went upstairs to the large armory-style room I heard footsteps and two shots. I yelled "Shots!" in TS and charged, spraying the room. Ginger screams "It's me, it's me!" as his character groans and falls to the ground. Luckily I didn't kill him, just knocked him out, but it was embarrassing and funny as hell for everyone else in the channel. Turns out Ginger didn't think I would Rambo the room and just wanted to scare me.

my only story is this. I was in the building next to the power plant on the coast. Fresh spawn trying to get away from a zed. Was beginning to climb down the ladders when i look over and theres a guy standing there i stand up and we both wave. i crouch back down as he starts doing the "Friendly dance" (as i call it). So i go to stand up and return the gesture. Well c=v and i ended up leaping over the railing falling 3 stories to my death. And all i hear is.."ugh...dude....you alright mate?"

Im amazed I never met anyone in that bush yet.. its kind of a famous landmark and tourist attraction. Hi !

And the little lake in cover just down the field. I always expect to find guys sitting there chewing gum, waiting to go up the hill.

It is shocking indeed, I've sat in that little lake for ages and indeed spawn in that little bush, run into Jail, run across the airfield and back to that bush many of times and not encountered anyone. Bit of a blessing, really!

I held someone up with a Mosin in an office building on the top floor in the tiny gun closet, and I let him go. They ran away, and I tried to find an alternate way out of the building, because I didn't trust him. But instead, I  took the ladder down, and walked in the door to the second floor, where he had been waiting for me to go down the stairs. He then continued to pop a cap in me. Bad day...

We were watching a couple guys on top of the police station, waiting for the right moment to open up. Adrenaline pumping (it had been a  while since I had killed someone) I mis fired, forcing us to retreat so we wouldn't end up with M4 rounds in our faces, derp.

We were in Berezino recently, we had our main task force inside of the gas station near docks and myself on smoke stack. We had movement near police station and 2 of the lads moved towards the L shaped wall near the cream house on railroad. I saw them walk up, get in position but didn't realise one of them had a blue back pack, for some reason I asked if anyone had a blue back pack and with no reply put a round into the back of him. I didn't have the balls to admit it was me who took the shot and blamed it on a sniper from cranes until a few days later.

 

More recently 2 of us were packed into piano house in Berezino, we had two of the doors covered and I was covered by the closet so anyone walked in would get lit up. I saw someone walk in, put a Mosin into his chest and then heard TS rage from the person I shot and shouting "fucking friendly, fucking friendly!". I've had more than 4 blue on blue incidents now :(
