How to know which servers to avoid?

Recommended Posts

Just do yourself a favor and never go in to Russian server! There are hackers, banditkids, KOS and people who mumble their non sence language :(

aside from "friendly, friendly."  Which in Russian translates to "Screw you, English dog."

Bad: Jimmy Tango's Fat Busters Clan Server - Max Loot - 1 Hour Restarts - Free Toaster Server

Good: US West 1-2 Vilayer Server

Bad: Joe Shit The Ragman's Bukkake Party - 45 Minute Restarts - High Loot Server

Good: GB 1-115 MultiplayGameServer

Bad: Ba Ba Booey's Private Flafla Flowfly Server Join = Kick

Good: SG 1-2 Gamservers.com

Just like I said, a hilljack name with NO POPULATION usually doesn't indicate good things, if newbie server hoppers can't figure that out on their own, they don't really deserve to be hopping for loot.  A standard name with no population = a looting server that someone still shells out $70 a month for.

Every server that doesn't seem to have a standard name.

If it has anything with "clan" in it, then dont join, you'll get kicked or banned straight away and have to wait 200-600 seconds, leave ASAP if you join a server that says "blah blah, cant connect to main hive".

LISTEN UP - HOW TO ESCAPE FROM BEING A NEWSPAWN

There is no way to tell which servers will log you in on the beach as a fresh spawn, except by trying them.

BUT if you want to get your stuff back DO THIS: -->

1) DONT MOVE AND DONT DO ANYTHING IN THE GAME

2) Dont even click on Log Out in the game screen (this is how I do it, maybe AGBenny's way works too, but my way works for me 100%)

3) Just GO TO WINDOWS and CLOSE the DayZ program from windows. Just shut it down from outside

Then start it up again, and log in to a different server, or log in to the server you were on when you HAD all your gear OK.

If you do this, very often you will have all your gear back. It always works for me. BUT if you stay on the beach as a newspawn even for a minute, or you pick something up, or you look in your backpack maybe.. you will probably be saved to the hive as a newspawn, and then you're stuck.

So as soon as you land on the beach, just go into windows and shut down the game, dont do anything inside the game screen. If you were not killed on the last server, this will get you out.

xx enjoy

I didn't see you post, sorry.

A lot of those servers with a standard name and no population are paid for by Bohemia. I read something to that effect on Dean Hall's reddit.

Over 400 hours and never been wiped. Since I've got my own server now I never have to worry at all as I don't log onto other servers anymore.

I've had this happen to me, at least three times.

The way I've experienced the problem, is when logging into servers and the servers failing to complete the login process,

it just hanging on the logging in window, after about two minutes, you give up and dc from the server, log into another one, and your characters reset.

It happened to me twice on the same server.

having said that, I think they fixed the problem, because now, when I connect to a server that fails to complete login, I get disconnected from the server rather than me having to dc with the button
