Emotions

Recommended Posts

Hey survival people,

Ive searched the forums, and theres 1-2 threads (recently) about adding Emotions, to the game. I think this would be a pretty neat idea, concidering it is going for ultra realism. I dont have any clear ideas on how exactly everything would work, but Im sure it would be Depression (playing alone/elements etc) Anxiety (meeting new people in game, low ammo, basically anything youre scared of or having an "oh s**t" moment) Scared, Angry, etc etc. Again, I feel like this would add a more human element to the game. I hope some agree!

Thanks! :)

But you are experiencing the emotion yourself. You channel it through your character.. You can already get panicked (well in the mod anyway) but other than that you are experiencing it first hand by what you feel when you play it and get scared, anxious etc

Having a game force emotions is far from realistic, Having situations in the game cause real emotions for the player should be the goal.

I think a little of both works pretty good. When your dude starts whimpering and shaking due to a ton of zombies within hitting distance and then screams like a banshee when getting attacked, it adds a bit to the real emotion you feel at the time. My opinion, but I like that about the mod.

The problem with guys sayin "Oh, the player should feel.the.emotiom" is that its JUST A GAME. Im not gonna fear or get ptsd from a video game.(unless your one of those fags who.takes.cod too.seriously)
