Will there be a GPS like in the mod but maybe takes batteries and what about a watch to tell time for night time? Will there be night vision goggles also? If so when will these items be put in?

Yes, Yes, yes, and eventually.

 

The NVG's have been confirmed via leaked artwork of the model. The watch is somewhat of a given for dayz and I would imagine it wont even begin to see the light of day until they get the accelerated time fixed and working 100%. The GPS should be put in to help people with persistent containers and  is another dayz given, but you never know.. they may not put one in, I would think yes though. And again, all of this should be in place prior to the beta, so by next year or so.

Would be nice if they could set it up like a real GPS, IE if you leave the default settings on it pins your location and saves it to memory every 10-15 mins.  That way you could find someone's base using their GPS.
