What just happened?

So I was watching the town near NEAF through my LRS for about 15 mins just see if people hang out there and suddenly I hear footsteps near me and switch to 3rd person mode and I see fresh spawn one hit punch me. He was laughing very much afterwards :( But I was so well hidden inside that tree, there is no way he could have seen me. I have seen hax used before so this wouldnt be new sadly

From  a distance the grass doesn't render (something like over 100m) so it's actually quite easy for someone to see you. Could have been that? Probably some hacker douche bag though!

From what I've seen, trees and bushes provide no concealment if you are in them, if someone is looking towards you at range.

Look out a distance and you'll notice the trees and bushes are all in a low quality that provide far less concealment unless your actually standing behind them. Grass is nonexistent  but players can be seen. 

 

Can just be walking along and spot someone laying in grass miles off, calmly make your way into the woods and head toward that position for the kill with ease if the person doesn't keep on the move.

 

It's something I hope can be fixed down the road, but the only way I can imagine it being fixed is either forcing high detail rendering even in the distance, so grass and trees are the exact same to everyone (making the system requirements a bit harsher): or making the low quality version trees and grass equally dense to high quality, just poorly textured.

I know that. That is why I planned my spot well. It wasnt like a common sniper spot or something. It just felt like a hacker because he was a fresh spawn and this wasnt place you usually see them. I have seen hackers who warp and there are videos on youtube where hackers can see other players.
