Duct Tape Handcuffs

I've come up with a simple idea which could project the use of duct-tape.

 

As we currently know, carrying around duct tape is a waste of space, but it is so common. Why not use it as a pair of handcuffs? Tie it around someones hands and use a knife to remove it. The duct-tape should have a percentage of 100% to begin with and degrade by 25% every time you use it. Obviously, wriggling out of the duct-tape would be an option and would be slightly easier than the handcuffs, but would work practically the same.

 

Simple idea, but it seems effective to me. Sorry for the lack of detail, but it's pretty self explanatory.

Along with taping lights to items (my moto helmet 8) - upgrading ruined clothes to badly damaged (tape the holes?) - impromptu water proofing? - protection for your feet when you have no shoes?

Would be nice to use the rope as handcuffs, then you can use a sharp object to cut them off, it would also be more easy to wiggle out of.

Or tape some rags in there mouth for a better, more effective gag.

Taping their mouths should disable them from direct communication.

Should also be abke to restrain people with rope, tie them up to trees or poles etc. Or put the rope around their neck and lead them along behind you.

Or tie a rope around his left arm and attach the other end to a car, have a friend do the same with his right side and drive in opposite directions.  Split him down the middle.

Both makeshift handcuffs and mouth gags sound great! Double great if the gag could actually have a voice filter to sound muffled, so it'd still be possible to at least draw attention if not actually speak.

By applying a lowpass filter you'd get a great effect (rolling off all high frequencies)

 

Sounds like a good, realistic and easy to achieve idea, I'd be pretty confident devs will add this at some point.
