When do you expect to have an official release date?

Considering the alpha was released past december, and with all the progress we have seen since day one, when do you expect to have an official release date? Yeah, right, we have estimated dates but that doesnt really counts, specially when the game has sold thousands of copies without any mention of an official release date.

It'll probably be 2015 for Beta probably, the game upon release was Early Alpha, not just Alpha. At the moment I'd say we're pretty much mid-alpha considering the mechanical functionality in-game and network wise.

I have searched the forum but can't find my question in it. I am currently playing DayZ free (Arma 2 + OA) and I'd like to buy DayZ standalone. But, when I read the forum and site it says that you have to be an active player and expect serious bug issues. The last point is no problem since I have been playing DayZ mod for a long time now, so bugs.. bring 'em on.

 

It's the first part that rises questions. I am a dad for over 2 years now and I am noticing my free spare is generally degrading because of my growing responsibilities. Therefor I can't game continuesly but I really would like to play the game. So what if I buy this game (the basic version) does it include the final product and does it measures my amount of gameplay? So when I am playing not that much, does it ban me or something?

You misunderstood. There is no time allotment that you must meet. MANY people only play when a new patch is released, and then only briefly enough to see what is "new".

 

This isn't a guild in WoW haha, come and go as you please. Spend 30 bucks now and be done with it. Play when you can without thinking you have to meet some kind of schedule. It's all good.

Ah oke, so if i don't buy the supporter edition but only the basic I will recieve Dayz SA only? I can't say the extra's and goodies make the game much more attractive, let alone pay more for it. It's  the gameplay that fascinates me.

All the progress since day one?  You're kidding right?

 

Have you seen the state of this game?

 

I got news for you.  This isnt alpha.... this is pre-alpha development.  The "alpha" access of this game was just a venture capital scheme funded by players to begin real development.   When 80% of a game has yet to be developed that isnt alpha. 

 

SO to answer your original question..... release Q1 2017*  *This is assuming it doesnt get crushed by other games coming into the market before that.
