CJoriginalsHD 0 Posted May 6, 2014 Hey guys I want to start making DayZ videos and my current graphics in game are pretty bad, would this graphics card run the game well, doesn't have to be the top specs but at least fairly high? http://www.amazon.co.uk/Sapphire-11202-13-20G-Graphics-Express-Technology/dp/B0096WIFU0/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1399339173&sr=8-1&keywords=AMD+Radeon+HD+7750
silvatos 50 Posted May 6, 2014 (edited) I would say no, one, it's an AMD card, and two I looked at some benchmarks for that card, and it is below the recommended card for battlefield 3, so it's not going to run DayZ well, mainly because of how unoptimized it is. You will need to mess around with your settings to get dayz to look decent and get a high framerate. http://forums.dayzgame.com/index.php?/topic/185243-what-if-you-have-a-nicer-pc-what-should-your-settings-be-and-what-fps-should-you-expect-a-low-end-pc-heres-a-comprehensive-guide/?hl=%2Bsettings+%2Bguidefollow this guide, and mess around with it to get you a high framerate, consider just turning off shadows and clouds.I can record well, I have 16 gigs of ram, an i7 3770, and I have a 660 ti. http://www.amazon.co.uk/MSI-N660Ti-2GD5-OC-NVIDIA-Graphics/dp/B009PWXUBK/ref=sr_1_6?ie=UTF8&qid=1399341097&sr=8-6&keywords=660+tiif you use nvidia, you get access to their lightweight and robust Shadowplay recording program, it lets you record from when you press the keys, or you can set it to record the last X minutes. I hope this helps you. Edited May 6, 2014 by DoctorPhil
n1kko 326 Posted May 6, 2014 Whats your budget for your GPU? May I suggest a GTX 760? Its an all around good card for the price. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814130932 Or if you are feeling a bit over zealous with your money, go balls to the wall and get a GTX 780Ti http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814487001
Jfiles 439 Posted May 6, 2014 If you are looking for an AMD at an affordable price if you look right, I suggest an R7 260X. Very nice. Runs BF4 Very high 50+ frames. Run that myself and very satisfied. Runs DayZ in towns 20-30 outside 45+

Reason * Free recording software of which does not impact your FPS* It's called "Shadowplay" With how bad the frame-rate is in DayZ, It's best to be able to record and have great FPS. Look for either the GTX 600 series or GTX 700 series, only these cards support "shadowplay". Edited May 6, 2014 by Sobieski12
haknslash 763 Posted May 6, 2014 +1 for Shadowplay. I previously used Mirillis Action but switched to SP and haven't looked back. I does not drop my FPS at all from what I can tell where Action would consume 5-10 FPS with DayZ. I run max settings and average 50-60 FPS in woods and 30-40 FPS in cities on moderate server population.
