Using ingame mechanics is fine.  It's part of the game.  If they "fix" it, you can't do it.  So have them fix it if you don't like it.

Exploiting game glitches is part of gaming.  DayZ is no different.  Grow up.

You can make all kinds of excuses. It doesn't make you any less of an exploiter. It just makes you more pathetic.

Right-o, I'll just go and get the devs to fix it. Brb.

Having seen some of your other posts, complaining about cheaters, I find this attitude a bit hypocritical. But hey, we all have differing opinions about various aspects of the game. Enjoy that crutch while it lasts, I guess.

"Exploiting game glitches is part of gaming"     No. It's part of cheating.

-In video games, cheating can take the form of secret access codes in single-player games (such as the Konami code) which unlock a bonus for the player when entered, and add-ons or exploits which give players an unfair advantage in online multiplayer games.

If it's available in the game, some people will take advantage of it.  It doesn't matter what you think about "honor."

You ass will be given "You are dead."  Gaming is about "winning."  That's all.  Define "winning' for yourself.

Some will "cheat" to win.

That's why you're upset about it.  Others do it, you don't.  They have the advantage, and you lose.

Wall glitches are part of DayZ, unless they fix it.   Duping is part of DayZ, unless they fix it.

That's why I haven't bought the standalone yet.   Waiting until they fix it.

If I decide to buy before they fix the glitches (highly doubtful) I'll use them if they'll keep me alive.

Since I only play "hero" I have no interest in ambushing, so you won't find me in walls.

Probably won't ever find me in buildings where players can hide in a wall either.

But I'd just be stupid not using a wall glitch to have a look around.

I'll also dupe if it's a "feature," and it suits my game play.  Sue me.

But they have to fix the game before I buy it.

absolutly true. i think some people just dont know how frustrating this game can be, when u play against others who use these glitches and u dont. i mean did these people ever go to an airfield or military base trying to get some loot? there are nearly always people inside "secret rooms" of the jail or other buildings, just waiting for u to enter and kill u straight out of the wall, by shooting through it. it is so damn annoying if u check your surroundings and get in one of these buildings, beeing sure noone else is in there, start looting and bam, ur dead. u didnt see or hear anybody. it happend to me alot.

and ur solutions for this is what?  repeatly runnig in these buildings and die? or just skip these? sorry i dont know why i should narrow my gameexperience cause of these idiots. so i ve learned from it. now i move to a corner of these buildings, leaning in the wall to see if someone is in there and if thats the case, i go away. i dont use it to kill people or to have an unfair advantage over others. i just use it to survive in a survival game, which is (sadly to be said) really broken. it is not my fault that the developers focus on useless mechanics and woolcoats before fixing gamebreaking bugs.

So let me get this straight....

You're totally OK with boosting in other games too right...ya know since it's an exploit...doh I mean feature as the other guy called it?

Just because there is an exploit doesn't mean you should use it to your advantage. That makes you no better than someone going and buying hacks. Oh but that's right, it's a feature the devs put in so that makes it ok now! And spare us the increases my odds of survival nonsense. It's a video game. You're not going to die IRL if you get shot in this game. If you die, you die and gear back up to avenge your death or carry on as a new life. It's as simple as that. But to rely on game exploits and hacks just so you can feel "safer" or the odds lean in your favor in a battle just makes you out to be a horrible excuse for a "gamer". Why even buy a game if you're just going to exploit and cheat? Where is the "fun" in that? And since when is gaming just about winning? I must of missed the K/D leaderboard addition in the last patch. Sigh... please go back to CoD.

Wow. People are an all time low now. Video games are a means of entertainment and in no way made so we can "win". Games have been invented so when can have fun.

You need to understand that even if you're the "champion of the world" in CoD, it won't change the fact that's it's virtual and has no real repercussion in real life. When you'll die in real life, all that you would have accomplished in the virtual world will be forgotten.

Parents need to teach kids better about the meaning of life and how you need to perceive video games.

"I'll also dupe if it's a "feature," and it suits my game play.  Sue me."  - In an alpha or beta stage software development, glitches/bugs are not features.

You say you play "hero" , but say honor doesn't matter.
