Left Mouse Button

Please Developers.

 

I do NOT want to use my left mouse button to swing the axe, because I have used left mouse button for "walk forward" for many years (since the first Half Life came out, actually) and I can not get used to WASD anymore at my old age.

 

Can you please not force the axe attack control to any mouse buttons! Please!

*silently sobs in a corner, hoping DayZ devs finally fix this unwanted feature*

 

This was never an issue with Bohemia Interactive games since Armed Assault.

(Operation Flashpoint had "fire/attack" forced to left mouse button, they fixed that with ArmA)

Im a "weirdo" like you and have old school controls as well.

 

The issue of not being able to rebind properly has been flagged up in the bug tracker and is on the todo list.

 

Dont expect it soon. In the meantime i managed to make a mouse profile for days and use another mouse button to move.

 

Not ideal, but it should be doable on many mices. meeses. mooses mici   mice.

Dont expect it soon. In the meantime i managed to make a mouse profile for days and use another mouse button to move.

Are you sure you can't unbind LMB? It took me some fiddling but was able to unbind RMB to stop the zoom function (I use RMB for walk forward)

The fuck kind of computer do you have? Something from Star Trek? I've played games since HL1, too and I always used the left mouse button to fire.

I've never tried using LMB to move forward, and likely never will.

I have been able to change it as soon as I started  to play DAYZ SA 2 months ago.

Just make sure you remove ALL other RMB bindings in key bindings.

Oh if I remember correctly, make sure you bind "move forward" to "hold sec mouse button", not just sec.mouse button.

You see I could do it at first in fact I made a thread on it where Rocket himself gave me beanz.

 

But after a certain patch I was no longer able to.

 

I shall try later tonight/tomorrow.
