bigfatrhys (DayZ) 5 Posted May 1, 2014 Hello, My names Rhys, i've recently bought DayzSA, and to be honest, i love it! I'm incredibly bad though, I've played like an hour and half of DayzSA and i thought i'd just come say hey on the forums and introduce my self, so yee, if anyone ever see's me on a server my character name is Rhys Davies. Whilst I'm here I'll share my silly story of my own idoicity Basically i was a fresh spawn, and im running down a hill, where i saw this police station, looted it and some bandit came in and held me up, then some guy came in and shot him dead, so we exchanged names and i thanked him, twenty minutes later i was climbing on the roof and i needed a drink, but in my hot bar i had sprite and windex....i accidently drunk the windex, went oh shit, so i threw myself off the roof, because unconscious and died, so yeah, DayzSA 10/10 5 Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

Merino put up plenty of vids concerning the health system, he is also pinned here somewhere because of that. Anyways, here is how to survive a chemical poisioning on his youtube channel: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=96Pv7aHefyI I had watched several LPs at that time but I actually decided to get the game after seing his vids, particularily the linked one. It showed me how deep the game really goes into details. Now when you are not in the highest healing stage though, you will fall unconscious and can only be saved by others forcefeeding you - good luck right there. Maybe you can log off and get a trusted medic to help you, though? If you are on second stage regeneration, you probably really need a water pump to negate the water loss when puking though, I doubt anyone has enough fluids on him in such a situation. And then you need to take into account the kos problem, so you should not really always sit next to the pump...problems over problems. I have simply never taken disinfectant with me, so that won't happen to me. If I remember correctly it will enable you to disinfect rags in the future (maybe already implemented) and lower your probability of getting infections (not implemented), so just drinking and eating directly out of the inventory is maybe a saver way for you ;). Had a (extremely drunk) man drink desinfectant twice last weekend, because he tried force it in to another friend of ours, but failed (he - again - was drunk). And we managed to save him twice by making him drink out the pond until he threw up. Maybe I'm wrong, but if remember correctly, Merino said that would not help with poisioning somewhere. Even if I remember correctly, there is still the chance that things changed in the last months or Merino was mistaken. Well I stand by my point, don't drink that stuff :). And if you are forced, the general rule remains, take care to be always completely hydrated and energized beforehand. And try to stay that way. It's useful. This is a truly unique game.Not for quitters or stupid people, so I hope natural selection will leave a lot of nice and odd people in the game. I'll try and remember your name, if you see some guy dancing/boxing with zombies, just try to talk - might be me. I usually wear a gas mask and a beret.
